What's your process for vetting potential employer?

Having recently been laid off from my CPG role what's the best strategy for vetting prospective employers? I know some red flags are obvious, but for others there's sometimes less information available online. Suffice to say - in this economy, you truly don't know what you might be walking into (SMH).

Would love to hear any strategies you use. Is there a guide or checklist you generally run through before applying to or accepting a role?

sorry in advance if this has already been discussed here.

Lay offs?

Trying to get a general picture. I was just laid off from a CPG company in the 'better for you' foods category. (probably due to AI consolidation and declining sales). Was at the company for 3.6 years in a procurement / ops role. Who here was recently laid off and what are you doing to pick up the pieces?

Hoop shoes with toe space

I'm out of the loop on the industry and gave up once every shoe i tried on was tied in the toe area. I'm still hooping in my sabrina 2's which are one of the few modern shoes that let me wiggle my toes. Nike for some reason hates giving you toe space. are there ANY new / modern shoes that are recommended for breathable space in the toe area?

I'm 5'11, early 40's. Typically like low to the ground shoes like older kobes and sabrina 2's

Resources/Accounts to follow for Supply Chain X AI?

Is there a specific sub-reddit or account to follow that focuses on AI in supply chain?

I'm in procurement for a food company and I just want to make sure i'm not falling behind. My organization is very pro AI (we have team accounts for Claude and GPT) so i need to stay on top of the latest and find ways to use it to my advantage. I'm just a mid level-ish worker but i don't want to fall behind.

I've used it so far to generate reports, fix google sheets formulas, project inventory run outs, pretty basic stuff so far.
