Could Solarpunk be an antidote to toxic nostalgia?
For a bit of context, here is a video on toxic nostalgia. TL:DR: The upshot of the video is that society has become stuck in nostalgia. This is reflected in the absurd amounts of reboots in the television and film sector. Not only that, but it's influencing the rise of far-right political movements.
Could it be that one of the causes of this kind of nostalgia is based in an inability to imagine a better future? If this is true, could Solarpunk, as both an artistic movement and a source of inspiration to create a better world be an antidote to it?
