Need advice mounting CMP051 cable tray on E7 Plus (180x80) - metal frame in the way
Hi everyone,
I'm installing the FlexiSpot CMP051 cable tray under my E7 Plus (180x80 cm) and I'm trying to figure out the best position. Since it's a 4-leg desk, the heavy metal frame underneath gets in the way.
I want to screw the brackets directly into the wood for maximum stability, and I want to avoid making weird spacers to clear the metal. Right now, I have two options if I want it centered:
- Back edge: Screwing it into the wood strip at the very back. It sits perfectly flat, but the tray will stick out a couple of inches past the back edge of the desk.
- Inner section: Skipping the metal beam and screwing it into the wood just past it, moving closer to the center of the desk.
Which of these two makes more sense? Is leaving it sticking out the back the standard workaround for this model, or should I just mount it further inside?
Thanks for the help!
