Challenge run: Random jobs

So I've decided on the final rule set for my next challenge run. Every time I get a character (intro black screen) I roll to see what their class is. Which will dictate what they are able to do for the rest of the game. The jobs are as follows.

Warrior: Can only attack and defend.

Black mage: Can only use black and grey magic.

White mage: Can only use white and grey magic, and allows use of menu healing.

Merchant: Can only use items, and allows use of menu items while in the party.

Specialist: Can only use their class skill.

Magic knight: Can use attack, and grey magic.

Red mage: Can use both white and black magic, but only up to level 2 spells.

Ninja: Can use both attack, and item commands.

Monk: Can use class skill, and up to level 2 white magic.

Those are the 9 classes. I'll be playing the pixel remaster on console, so these rolls will have to be done and enforced by myself. I'll probably also stream it.

A few mentions. What is level 3 magic? Anything obviously 3rd tier such as thundaga, as well as big spells such as meteor, flare, holy. What if Terra gets her class skill? If so, I'll go by the rule that she can attack and use all magic, but only while transformed. I think that's a fair balance, considering that will be useless for a lot of the game. Umaro? No sorry, you just can't give him a job, so I can't use him. If Gogo gets specialist, then he can only use mimic.

Temp characters don't apply to the rules (won't grab the ghost) and of course, if I simply have to break a rule to get the plot going, I will. Such as giving Gau dried meat, even if Cyan and Sabin can't use items.

One last question for you guys. Normally, when I do a challenge run, I keep notes of events, and after it's all over, write up the whole tale on here. Should I continue that? Or do it in parts as we currently see the Cyan solo runner doing?

Another challenge run.

Hello there, I'm Vipes McClure. You may remember me from such challenge runs as, no attack or magic command, and uh oh, all Espers.

I've got the itch to hop back in to FFVI for another challenge run, but before I do, I'd like to hear some thoughts. I tried thinking of something unique, and this is what I came up with.

Random job assignment. When I reach any character's intro (black screen, name them) I will roll dice to determine what job they will have for the whole game. Right now I've got 5 jobs in mind, and maybe that's enough, I'm not sure.

Warrior: Can only attack, must be in front row. Black mage: Can only use black and grey magic, back row. White mage: Can only use white and grey magic, back row. Merchant: Can only use items, either row. Monk: Can only use their class skill (tools, lore, etc) either row.

I will be playing the Pixel remaster version on console, let me know your thoughts before I start it up in the next day or so!

[PST] 35M, bad health, need more online buddies.

Hello potential gaming buddies. Though I don't play that many online games (at the moment) any I do play, heavily lack people to play with. I also have a wide library and PS plus catalog, so I'm sure there are games we can find to play as well.

I'm a very easy going dude, and can mix well with most people. You wanna just have fun and not worry about how good you are? Let's have fun. You wanna go hard and get the platinum trophy? I'm game!

I'd say some main games I'd love to play online more is Helldivers 2, Phasmophobia, any Borderlands, and I'd never say no to Stardew Valley. The time I'm online can easily change, but I'm often on later than earlier.
