Best UK teeth whitening kit?

UK only please i can’t get anything from overseas - open to tray strips etc but preferably affordable (meaning under £100). Anything that works! (i know the law about UK can’t sell certain stuff over a % etc) looking for a work around! thank you everyone.

deliverables based role?

Hi all, posting on behalf of my daughter in her late 20s who’s looking at HEO (or SEO) level roles in the Civil Service. she is not on reddit.

she is open to what that is. She is willing to take a pay cut - she works in marketing and comms and is also a trained higher level teaching assistant.

Very specifically for a non technical role where the main part of the job is producing tangible deliverables, rather than a role where the majority of the week is stakeholder meetings.

Just to be clear here that she is absolutely not expecting a job with zero meetings or any stakeholder interaction. That is obviously hugely part of most Civil Service roles. she is specifically looking for roles where meetings are a smaller part of the job and there’s a decent amount of uninterrupted time to actually get the work done. she is willing to do a short course before applying for roles. Understood this is a bit of a ‘unicorn’ scenario but surely not impossible.

For anyone at HEO (or SEO level), are there particular job families or types of roles you would recommend looking at? she has a degree in a non technical role. Are there roles please you’ve personally found to be noticeably more deliverables focused?
I would be very interested in hearing from people who have experience of the actual day to day reality of their role (rather than what the job advert says).

thank you very much.

test engineer - career side step UK?

Hi all

Posting on behalf of my boyfriend.
He’s based in Liverpool and may be about to be made redundant. He’s 33 and works as a Test Engineer for a logistics company. He originally joined as a contractor and is now on just under £60k. Ideally he can’t take less than around £55k for a full time role.
He’d really hoped to get trained in automation where he is, but that never happened.
We’re now looking at roles he could realistically move sideways into. He’s interested in sports data analytics, but is also very open to other roles such as Project Management or Business Analysis.
Has anyone here made a similar move, or can recommend any recruitment agencies that are good for this sort of thing?
If you’ve got any other role suggestions that could be a good fit, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a comment. Thanks!

Building Safety Regulator (BSR) culture?

BSR employees, questions on culture and flexibility

I’m considering applying to BSR and wanted to ask people who actually work there.

I know the general civil service guidance on home working, but I’m asking about this particular department specifically.
What’s the attitude towards neurodiversity like? Are reasonable adjustments easy to get, or a struggle?

How flexible is BSR with hours?/ part time hours

Any insight welcome, thanks.
