Too late to rotate tires now I’m guessing?
Hello reddit thank you in advance for the coming advice and/or roasts I’m sure I’m about to read in a few.
2012 audi q5 3.2L middle trim package
Photos go: front left tire (x2), front right tire, back right tire, back left tire and then penny in the front left and then penny in the back left
So…If you have not already noticed yet I am a poor excuse for an adult and still trying to learn how to take care of my own shit. That being said- I noticed that the wear on my front left tire is pretty fucked for lack of better words. From some of the other reddit / internet perusing I’ve done it kinda seems like I should be flipping out about and/or at least a little scared to drive on this front left tire with those little grey lines being visible (are these the “wires / steel wires” inside the tire that google has told me about? Confused because I touched one and it was soft like fabric not like a piece of steel, even in thin wire form.)
So questions - should I be flipping out about how worn my tires are and getting a new set of 4 asap even though its just the one that’s FUCKED fucked?
2 This uneven wear, primarily wearing on my front driver’s side tire, means that I have a messed up / improper alignment that needs to be fixed (preferably when the new tires are mounted), right? Or alternatively maybe a bad / worn out suspension? My research has shown so far that both of these might be an option…hoping not the suspension thing because that sounds way worse / more expensive to fix but again obviously i don’t know shit about shit (so thank you again for any help)
3 again kinda regarding the uneven wear / alignment thing- would rotating my tires around at 5k miles have helped make these bad boys last longer? Seems like that front left one is waaay worse off than the rest- not that any of those look too brand new at this point either
Thank you so much for any help you can give me! Maybe if yall give me enough good vehicle advice there will be one less (total) idiot on the road!!
