USS Idaho BB-42 Thumbnail Test

Hi guys this is the first test image for USS Idaho which I should release in a week or two it's still not complete, but this is the current design I will go for. Let me know if you think this thumbnail works or not. I also will attach some other photos that I have created since I last posted. The plan will be to post this to the workshop on July 4th if it is completed by then so look for a post around that time.

USS Idaho BB-42 progress

This is all vanilla so many things that should be modules are not for example the rear director is made from parts along with the mk3 fire control radar and the 36” Search lights. The ships aft superstructure is nearing completion and I hope to finish that soon. then things like cranes and deck detailing can be finished so the ship will have rails everywhere and then I can move onto a final pass where I’ll smooth out the hull and add more details that I may have glossed over along with armoring the ship. The next post will likely show a fully completed visual design of the ship and after that I will show the final version along with posting to the workshop.

USS Idaho Detail Phase

It’s going well and I have gotten through pretty much all of the forward superstructure. My PC is in pain and I estimate the part count will be near 3000 once finished if not more. As always feedback is welcomed.

Idaho Progress Update

Hey guys another update. I have gotten through roughly 75-80% of the hull forming with just some bits on the stern yet to be in my current rough pass state. I have completed a larger section of the superstructure and plan to get the stern finished tomorrow. Once the stern is finished the superstructure will be next and then i can move onto the detailing phase which will involve further refining of the hull and adding more details to the overall ship. I still plan on finishing sometime roughly next month. As before feedback is appreciated.
