[Lyrics] Songwriter's Anthem

[Lyrics] Songwriter's Anthem

If you can relate to these lyrics I'd love to hear from you, drop a comment!

I'll add a link to an audible version at the bottom but lyricists who can relate won't need an audible, that's just for spits and giggles 🐒🐒🐒🌺🌸🌼

SONGWRITER'S ANTHEM:

G-g-g-get-get gettin' down to business

Gonna throw some blades (some blades)

Your way (your way) all day (all day)

I can write your reality

I can write your fantasy

And everything in between

I can write it with sugar

I can write it with vinegar

It can be sweet or it can be mean

Found just the right sound bites

No cap they bitin

Leg slap they fightin

To get loud

Here it goes now

Here it goes now

See I got sent to one of those

Nut analyzers (analyzers)

That decide what flavor nut you are

Pretty sure I paralyzed her (paralyzed her)

'Cause I'm every damn flavor in the jar

I could use a pretty word like

Multifaceted

Tru tru tru truth of the matter is I'm just a

Freak accident

See the world and people around me

In fanatical poetical lyrical form

I I I got a barbie diary

At the age of three best you be warned...

I don't write like a Barbie

Never did I even like Barbies!

No I'm just your atypical

Beat of my own drum starvin' artist

Nerdy genius thespian hack

Writin' wordy arsenious arcadian crap

The kind of crap throws a trumpet and a dobro in a rap

Hype soulful blues throwin' razor blades

Locked in country is fire but it's litty when it's trap

And sultry jazz makes you wetter than the shhhhhh..it

That's overplayed (overplayed)

So Hey Hey Hey Okay

Gettin' down to business

Gonna throw some blades (some blades)

Your way (your way) all day (all day)

Writin' lyrics in my sleep but I can't sing a note

Notes full of keepers concepts to float

Can't just sit on a park bench people watchin

My brain won't pause don't flinch pours out lyrics

Won't listen to logic (logic) logical reasoning

Daily interference pours in a little

Cayenne seasoning (seasoning)

My friends ask me are you listening

And I'm back in focus but I'm all stoked up

'Cause those lyrics were blistering

Gotta take a notebook every place I be

Done wrote four hooks this morning

Before I even had my cup of coffee

Roll out of my head with no warning

(warning) (warning) (warning) (warning)

Caused my parents headache and despair

Bein' a starvin' artist when I coulda been a lawyer

Yeh I hear ya I'm a nerdy bookworm I'm a square

But don't you put me in a box

I'm not a follower (follower follower follower)

No I don't follow the beat of your drum

I follow the beat beat beat of my own

And I ran away from home

Thinkin' I'm about to have some fun

Mighta been

The end (the end)

Of my Mama's sanity

Coulda been

The end (the end)

Of my own humanity

But music brought sunshine into a gloomy world

I couldn't get enough yeh whoa completely fangirled (fangirled)

And I'd love to tell the rest of this story

But that's under wraps til my songs see some glory

Like enough glory to make a girl's toes curl

Like her only fans page depended on the whole world

Realizing' those toes I mean lyrics was deserving of fangirlin

Ain't never gonna see me on tv

I damn well like my anonymity

So I stay home

Writin' songs

And there ain't nothin' wrong

With that shit

stats lit

that's a hit

Wanna keep my identity

Shrouded in mystery

Writing all night

Lines that bite

Come morning light

It's straight up ratchet

notes are bat shit

the match is lit

I can write your reality

I can write your fantasy

And everything in between

I can write it with sugar

I can write it with vinegar

It can be sweet or it can be mean

We'll call this episode one

A thousand songs to come

Never get tired

Under the wire

Sure as fire ain't even started

Much less done!

G-g-g-gettin' down to business!

[hip hop/dance] I Roll Me by Vivian Isabella

I'd like to thank the haters for inspiring me to write yet another round of fresh lyrics 🙏✌️🤙 This song, inspired by the gate keeper push back, just received another positive curator review and a playlist add, and is climbing up the ranks almost as quickly as the last two.

Turns out trial by fire and mean people who want the industry to shut doors in my face causes new lyrics and concepts to come flooding out of my brain. It even inspired me to provide a photo of me singing to AI so AI could add red tape to my mouth so everybody understands exactly what I mean when I say yeh I sing, I just don't sing well. Look at me poking fun of myself! 🤣 I crack myself up sometimes.

So I can't hate you back. I'm too busy creating more art. I hope you AI haters can also stop hating on others long enough to continue creating. Because sometimes I get tired of hearing my own stuff and go and listen to music created by other artists 🏵️🌼🌸🌺

Also, if any AI haters poised ready to downvote this post are interested in collaborating, I'd absolutely love to work with singers and musicians for an ISC submission, which is what I'm working on next ❤️ 🎹🎷🎺🪊🎸🪕🎻🪉🪘🥁🪇🪈🪗🎤🎧❤️

Positive feedback outweighs negative 🔥🔥🔥

I rewrote a post because I was told it was removed, but seems to me both are getting views so I will delete this one when I come back in if the first one did not get removed After getting beat up with "you're AI" again, I opened my email to discover that after just a couple months of submitting to a couple dozen Groover curators and industry pros, one of my songs hit Groover's Top 100 for U.S. Dance/Electronic, coming in at #57 today.

And I realized something in that moment.

The positive feedback I'm receiving far outweighs the negative, and 90% of the negative I'm receiving is straight up "you're AI" talk. So I'm going to start being straight up deaf to that bologna!

I'm not AI. I'm human. I'm a lyricist. I'm a concept artist. And I'm making music. ✌️🤙🏵️🌸🌺🌼💜🤓🐒👋

Hope this helps anybody else currently struggling from the "you're AI" "shame on you" Karen Gatekeeper hounds from hell 👀💩

I'm just sharing motivational personal excitement 😀

I just got a positive email after getting negative "you're AI" feedback (me every day: "nope, I'm human, not AI, and I'm a lyricist and an artist").

So if anybody here knows they're talented and knows their work is art and is getting beat up for touching anything AI, I say just keep moving forward and believing in yourself because I'm only 4 months into this adventure, and the positive feedback I'm receiving is FINALLY turning a corner where it outnumbers negative feedback 4:1 ❤️🌺🌸🏵️💜🤓🤙✌️

[Sing-Rap/Jazz fusion] Songwriter's Anthem by Vivian Isabella

Dear anti Suno singers and musicians,

We're all different. Thank goodness, or life would be very boring. I'm a talented lyricist. I'm a talented concept and visual artist. I suck at singing. And I'm not tone deaf so I can hear the sucky-ness. I have very little range. And the range I have often lands flat. Plus I'm a female that sings very low range (baritone would be the proper term, but I'd describe it more as monotone). I play piano by ear and have, on occasion, managed to impress a few children under the age of twelve with my abilities. But I've also seen pain and what looks like grief accompanied by tears on the faces of adults who can truly play when they hear me. I don't want to play an instrument. I think there are a thousand musicians around who could be better than me at any instrument I pick up even if I did spend years, and I'd rather write the lyrics and create the melodies. I know my lane. I know my strengths. My mother played guitar. My grandfather played a banjo. My brother started on drums at 7 and is spectacular. But he plays music I just don't like and vice versa. My boyfriend is a singer with fantastic range and also plays guitar. Played with a band for a while. But he's only interested in playing covers of hit songs that everybody knows by heart. A long ago ex of mine had a band and had regular gigs. I repeatedly and for years asked singers and musicians to read over and learn my lyrics, compose some music around them. They weren't interested in even looking at them. Blew me off without even bothering to read any. And I knew they were good. Not just good. Great. I knew their potential. I figured maybe some singers and musicians just assumed if you can't sing or play an instrument, or maybe it's because I can't read or write music, obviously I can't write lyrics or hear melodies and instrumentals in my head.

They were wrong. I can. I have an unorthodox approach to my compositions. I have a form of chromesthesia that causes me to see music in color patterns. I "hear" when something is off by a color repeating when it shouldn't or a color being absent or a color arc being out of sequence. I've recently learned I'm not crazy and there are others in the music industry who have this. The same way artists might use color theory/the color wheel. So when I found out about Suno, I absolutely, without hesitation, jumped at the chance to create audible versions of my written lyrics. Years' worth of lyrics gathering dust, never read by anybody but me. Not because I think I'm a singer or a musician. But because I know I'm a talented lyricist and no singers or musicians wanted to give my lyrics the time of day. Oh, now my boyfriend wants to sing my songs. After I spent 14 hour days learning eight different programs and stayed sleep deprived for months researching and getting stuff copyrighted and published and entering competition and submitting for reviews. Now that he sees industry insiders writing enthusiastic replies about those "silly little audible versions" of my lyrics. He sees the stats and sees that without a social media presence, without promoting, without having a website, without performing live, my songs are resonating and listeners are responding, playlisting, repeat playing. Now he's playing my songs like my dusty old ignored ancient lyric notebooks are some fresh shiny new discovery. And here I was just wanting to create audible concepts to sell to flesh and blood singers and musicians. You know. Collaborate. But singers and musicians online are like "that's AI, screw AI, I'm above AI, you just hit a button, I'm real blood sweat and tears man." So they refuse to listen to my concepts. Rejection without first listening. And my lyrics, by the way, they're also blood sweat and tears. They're art. From a human.

So yeh. Okay, you closed minded gatekeepers. I mean, I can only write lyrics for just about anything, male, female, multiple genres. Every key range. And thanks to my chromesthesia I don't struggle to control Suno the way many users do. My audible concepts are turning out pretty doggone lit if I do say so myself. So I no longer need to beg you singers or musicians who blew me off to help me create sound composition for my lyrics. And if I seem deaf to future complaints that I'm "replacing" humans, well, I asked human singers and musicians first. Before I ever heard of Suno. They couldn't be bothered. And I make no apologies for believing in my lyrical abilities and moving forward without any help!

Forgot who asked the question

I was asked to provide an update weeks ago regarding publishing through DistroKid without doing any promotions, how Spotify listeners reacted, and how Groover submissions were going. ***To clarify, I don't promote my music on social media or with pre-releases or by any other avenue because I wish to sell my lyrics to singers/bands. My songs are concepts intended for other artists to run with, so your methods may need to be different***

For those who didn't see older conversation, I'm sitting on years' worth of journals full of lyrics and concepts so that part I'd already completed. This update is almost three months into publishing the first song and I'm copyrighting/publishing five to ten approx. bi-weekly until I have a solid multi-genre catalog of 50 songs to pilfer.

My advice thus far:

First and foremost, be talented and unique and selective and don't give AI haters more ammo for their rabid attacks against us all.

Lyricists should copyright all lyrics before publishing anywhere online. In batches of ten is most cost effective. Join ASCAP or similar. When/if possible upload vocal and/or musical stems to preserve the integrity of your melodies.

Have a thick skin. There will be haters. If you cannot say "I'm here to stay, and so are my lyrics and my methods" with conviction, you will be chewed up and spit out.

Be ready and willing to enter competitions and submit your work for critical review. Know your lane and do not submit to anybody who dislikes music touched by anything AI. That's their choice. Respect other people's/company's policies regarding AI. If you receive more negative or critical feedback than positive, listen. Attentively. Learn. Improve. Grow. Before publishing. If you receive positive feedback, playlist adds, written reviews, articles, etc., consider that your green light.

I'm happy to report that I've submitted songs into AI competition and am working with a singer/guitar player to also submit to ISC. I've received several positive curator feedbacks and landed a few playlist adds/articles/various green lights, so I'm full steam ahead now. I'm adding a Spotify for Artists screenshot for song plays. Without promoting, my numbers on four songs distributed the past few weeks are increasing at a solid enough pace to qualify for monetization even on sites that require 1,000 plays within a year. For those who do not think that's much to brag about, let me give you some serious stats. Only around ten percent of Spotify artists ever hit monetization. So if you can do so, you're already in the top ten percent. If your songs can travel and pick up speed, as an independent artist without social media promotion, you're defying the odds. And my final bit of advice is to be mindful that laws and policies and legislation regarding AI and music is ongoing. Cases are pending. Decisions are still being made. AI is improving, both hate and acceptance is increasing daily. Some industry gate keepers are just now closing their doors while others are just starting to open their minds. So stay informed. You're the pioneers. That's not an easy position to hold.

Best of luck!! Hope to see some of you later on down the music road!🌸🏵️🌼🌺~Viv

I hid my chromesthesia

So, in childhood when I would try to explain to family/adults that I saw i.e., the letters of the alphabet as males/females, I was treated as if I was crazy, maybe even schizophrenic. So I learned over time to hide it. Nobody ever provided me the words or definitions for synesthesia or chromesthesia, and because I saw music in colors and was perhaps a wee bit too enthusiastic about it, my parents tried to navigate me away from music and toward my sports/academics. So I never learned to read or write music. I did still disappoint them by becoming a fine art starving artist instead of getting any doctorate, but I never fought them on the music. But I journaled in lyrical form, and could see the instrumentals in my head in color. I just didn't know how to translate the composition I was seeing. Recently I've been taking my lyrics and loading them into Suno AI and, using emotion-provoking prompts plus bracketed prompts within the lyrics to control which instruments go where, BPM and tempo changes, etc., I've been able to fairly successfully map out very close to audible versions that match my color wheels/arcs/palettes. I've thus far only discussed these theories/experiments with AI (Grok and ChatGPT mostly), and after describing the process as basically the same way I used color theory for my visual art and providing a breakdown of the color changes for a specific song, Grok explained to me why it might be easier for someone with chromesthesia to successfully navigate AI prompts for desired results and also why someone with chromesthesia might feel pulled to experiment with programs like Suno. But there's such a rabid level of animosity coming from singers/musicians currently regarding the use of AI that on r/anything music I'm attacked for using AI, called a liar, accused of not writing anything myself, stealing from "real artists", etc. And that old fear of mine from childhood that nobody will understand me comes flooding back. So this morning I finally thought to look and see if others like me who might understand were here on Reddit. And this is me just saying hey, I sure hope this maybe resonates with a few people 😅👀🫣🥺🙏🤯 I received awesome reviews from industry insiders for the songs I created and published before even telling my family, planning to sell my lyrics to singers and bands and just stay anonymous, but apparently many singers and bands automatically hate AI so much that they won't collaborate with a lyricist who has used AI. So I have all these songs published and gaining traction and I don't want to be the person upfront so I'm not sure what to do! Grok provided me some info that suggests other music performers and creators also have chromesthesia, so if that's you and you read this, I'd love to hear some advice/suggestions!!! 🏵️🌸🌺🌼

[alt rock/sing-rap] I Matter Too by lyricist Vivian Isabella

I journal in lyrical form. This was a journal entry I created to help me hurdle a selfish boyfriend sabotaging my efforts to build my business. After waking up to a barrage of false accusations and assaults from closed minded AI haters, I'm sharing this song as my lyrical and metaphorical middle finger goodbye wave to every insult from an AI hater in here. This song is my final word to every single one of you. As the song clearly says, "you're wasting my time when I need to put heat on this beat". 🔥🔥🔥‼️💥 So back to my studio work I go, completely undeterred 😁😎😘
