Currently on my first endgame run, I got all the way to Chevvah. Im wondering, is there any downside to eating crystal delight and becoming the crystal creature?

Reading up on it, it just seems like you get a whole lot of extra faces for your severed faces, which is a huge ego boost, plus an extra pair of hands. No slot for feet, back and head doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me, especially since you can mitigate it with extra limb mutations.

Sorta new to the game, managed to slaughter my first ever Templar party and got my first Eaters nectar injector. I've read about some crazy polygel farms here - is the nectar worth saving for polygeling, or do I just pop it right away? I know theres relic injectors in the game, didnt come across any of those just yet.
