Found this while digging through old boxes at home. Early 90s Guns N’ Roses german special issue. Now I’m a bit curious ... is this actually worth something to collectors or just "cool" rock memorabilia ? Should I keep it or throw away ?

Picked up an ultrawide Cam with an absolutely ridiculous resolution this week. Crystal clear, insane detail, perfect image. Looked at my stream preview and thought: Wow, this is boring.
There's something about too-perfect video that feels sterile. Like watching a soap opera shot on a 4K camcorder. No soul.
I've always been into that degraded and distorded analog look VHS tracking artifacts, CRT phosphor glow, film grain, the way old cameras just felt. So instead of tweaking color correction sliders for the hundredth time, I spent last week doing something I kept putting off: writing shaders for OBS from scratch. And as a developer, this is exactly the kind of nonsense I genuinely enjoy: a problem nobody asked me to solve, solved thoroughly, with way too much attention to detail.
22 of them. VHS, CRT, glitch, film burn, night vision, halftone, CGA palette, lens distortion, analog interference ... the whole broken-signal fantasy.
Each one is a filter you drop onto any OBS source. Stack them, tweak them live, bypass them with a toggle. There's also a browser-based controller so you can dial everything in real time via WebSocket without touching the OBS UI.
I call it "Afterglow". So do whatever you want/stream with it.

The ultrawide still looks too sharp. But now at least I can make it look like it was recorded on a cheap $40 camcorder from '94. \o/

Do you keep them? Do you sell them? Do you throw them away?
I mean, they take up a lot of space. So why keep them for years on end? I know that if you want to sell something, it would make sense to keep them. But for, possibly, years?
I might not even be able to figure out which items go in which box anymore.
