Hello all,

First time homeowner who made the mistake of getting a house with an HOA, despite the fact we inherited this lawn and missed the first growth season they are beginning to fine us for it.

I’ve read through Bermuda Bible, and am following the Texas A&M Bermuda calendar. Following these I’ve applied pre-emergent and am now seeing I should begin looking into growing the Bermuda.

Plan is to use fast growth nitrogen fertilizer and overseed with fast growth seeds.

However before this should I spray some Celsius to get rid of all these existing weeds or can I just shoot for the growing grass to choke them out?

Also, can I just put the fertilizer down then overseend and flatten it down for seed/soil contact and then just water?

From videos I always see people doing the whole process of tilling, new soil/sand, rolling it etc.

Thats not really something we can budget in for at the moment.
