Do you use a case on your MacBook Pro?

I recently got a very good refurbished deal for a Macbook Pro 14" M1 Pro 10/16 32GB 512GB. (under 1.200€)

Really love the space-grey colour, but since I'm gonna take the MacBook in my camerabagpack and use it on the go I'm thinking about getting a case.

On the internet are a lot of mixed opinions on using a case, so I'm interested what experiences you had so far and what case (brand / model) is working for you?

I never used cases for my laptops in the past, and they all lasted pretty well.

Since I will be editing bigger projects from an external T7 SSD I'm thinking about a solution to put the SSD on the back of my screen. The holdx - magnetic mount seems like a good solution. I'm a bit unsure about glueing anything to the macbook -> thats how the idea for the case started.

Appreciate any real world experience regarding this topic.

My battery drained nearly 40% overnight! 💀

My Nothing 2a lost nearly 40% overnight! (Locked)

The past weeks my (now 22 Months old) Nothing Phone 2a felt a bit more "laggy" and slower than usual. Some Apps didn't run as smooth as in the past. At first I thought this might be, because my storage was nearly full. But it stayed like that even after making some space. Although the new 4a Pro Looked like a nice upgrade, I didn't plan to spend money on a new phone atm and thought this might be my brain just looking for a reason to upgrade.

Since the last OS Update it kept getting worse and the battery was draining faster than before. Especially when it was under 40%. Usually my phone would last a whole day without any problems. Only when I used it heavily or a lot of Google maps I needed to charge a bit before going to sleep.

In the new power settings I capped the battery charge to 90% and installed an app to track my battery-%.

Before last before going to sleep last night I set my alarm, closed all Apps and left my phone (charged full / to 90%) locked beside my bed. Next morning it's down to 53%. That's crazy.

WiFi and Bluetooth was still on, but in the past I could leave my phone like that and still have 80-90% battery.

I guess my phone is cooked, what do you think? Any other 2a users with similar experiences?

I hope I can get a replacement via Amazon, since it's still in the 2 year warranty timeframe.

PS: writing this post cost me 3% battery btw.

My arms are heavy, mums spaghetti - How do I improve my Livestream Setup?

For a Livestream production I'm working with wireless Rig with an FX3, Sigma f.2.8 16-28mm on a DJI SC-2 and the old DJI motor. All connected to a V-Mount-Plate & Battery on my belt.

Technically it works great, but after using the setup for over 30 min.straight I'm getting cramps / pain in my right arm, because I need one hand on the joystick to adjust framing.

In the picture you can see the first version of the rig. I added another smallrig-side handle which helped a bit. But I still have to reach for the "middle handle" in a weired way.

I want to change the setup in a way that I can hold it more comfortable, but still gives me control of the zoom and joystick.

I have 2x Tilta Nucleus Nano II Motors and the Handwheel unit (using the zoom rocker). So my first idea was to get the nucleus nano ii control handle and use the joystick from it. But there is no information about how it connects to gimbals & how well it works. Anybody got experience with it or has another idea for this rig?
