I am running a solo workflow on Windows and I am so sick of paying for Acrobat Pro every single month just for a handful of massive client projects. Most basic tools work fine for small text tweaks but as soon as I drop a hundred page scanned document in for batch ocr or try to use preflight for print output everything else just completely crashes or ruins the formatting. I am desperate to cut down my monthly expenses but every alternative I try feels like a toy compared to what I need for heavy duty files. Is there anything out there that actually competes on a professional level without trapping you in a subscription.

Edit I managed to get a lifetime volume license key for Acrobat Pro DC 2024 from a reseller. I think It is completely legal and not a cracked version.
