I had a great ride today
I swapped tires last night. Previous tires were 2.6 Minions.
New tires: 2.4 Continental Magnotal/Xynotal and I’m digging the speed.

I have a steady led light on my control board. Fuse is good.
Condenser fan will start when I press the contact.
My safety float is dry.
I have two AC’s so I tried swapping the thermostats to see if the unit I’m having trouble with had a bad thermostat and it ran the other AC just fine.
This has been an ongoing issue. Last night, I found a very small nick in my 24v red wire coming from the handler to the contactor block on the condenser so I undid it and landed an unused brown wire at the contact block and the control board where I removed the red wire and everything worked after that.
This morning I noticed it was hot on one side of my house and the thermostat indicated that the unit was running but it wasn’t.
I’ve checked the contactor coil on the condenser to see if a bug or something had got in there and it was clean and checked the voltage high side and low. Checked for nicks in the wire landing at the low voltage side of the contactor. Safe-T-Switch is dry.
With a new fuse, it’ll run for a few hours and pop.
I’m currently running a KMC K1 narrow and it’s a great chain but I want a chain that I can remove without having to use KMC’s Missing Link (only supposed to be used one time but I’ve re-used one).
The Connex comes with a regular ol’ spring clip link which I like because I have several chains for different gearing.
I just wonder how the 7r8 works with narrow/wide chainrings because in pics online, it looks like the inner plates extend past the circumference of the rollers without any chamfering to accommodate the wide teeth.
I replaced my condenser fan motor with a universal, single speed motor (locally available and cheaper than the multi speed one).
The old fan setup utilized this frame bracket to point the fan up. I ended up installing the new motor attached to the grate, pointing down because it had slots for the hardware.
I’m just trying to figure out where I can dispose of this stuff besides tossing it in the trash.
Does an old motor have any value? Can it be refurbished?
