Crazy theory about Zeus

So, officially, Zeus' instrument is electronic brass, which is also Poseidon's (kinda, Poseidon is more normal brass) giving them the instrument connection that a lot of characters have.

But it's not impossible for a character to have multiple instruments (Telemachus has 3!), so it can't be completely out of the question for Zeus to have a second one.

Now, here's the theory/headcanon: what if Zeus is also represented by a piano? This could work for three reasons.

  1. The music itself

In both Thunder Bringer and God Games, Zeus hits someone with lightning, and after each of them a soft piano plays. This makes sense for Athena, as she is represented by a piano, but what about Odysseus? His instrument is a guitar.

  1. Instrument connection

As I mentioned above, the instrument connection shows relationships between characters, and Athena is represented by a piano, so this could be another way to show connection between the two characters (especially with Athena often being seen as the "favorite child" of Zeus along with Apollo)

  1. Symbolism

Pianos traditionally symbols of wealth and status, Zeus is the king of the gods, it's right there.

That's just a little theory/headcanon of mine though, take it as you want

Opinions on syncretism?

Something interesting that I thought about the other day is that, since we have traceable etymology for the names of many gods (such as Zeus' name being derived from the Proto-Indo-European word for god), how could those be their real names. So I don't think those are the real names, but if those aren't the real names, then why wouldn't other cultures worship the same god under a different name? And why couldn't those names come from similar origin?

I've been working with Artio for a while now, and recently have considered working with Artemis, but then I saw something connecting the two and I looked into it further. One of the possible etymological origins of Artemis' name is the Greek work 'artkos', which comes from the same Proto-Indo-European root as Artio. Furthermore, Artemis' sanctuary in Brauron had priestesses symbolically linked to bears. Both are also considered guardians of nature, and the Romans synchronized both of them with Diana.

I don't synchronize every god of similar domains from different traditions, such as Thor and Zeus feeling distinct to me, but others feel more similar. I also prefer not to synchronize gods from the same tradition.

But what are your feelings on it? Positive? Negative? Mixed? Let me know please!
