I am 16F and my friends constantly get approached by guys, whereas I do not. I am not ugly, lots of people tell me I am pretty just not guys who would be interested in me. I’ve been told I am awkward, so maybe I could get advice on that, do I have an RBF, or do I look unapproachable? I just need advice, I’ve been very down about this.

I saw a funny video a few years ago. The caption was something along the lines of "girls seeing each other in public". it was a bunch of guys with towels on their heads as makeshift hair. As each one popped out of nowhere, they all squealed and ran to each other to hug. I can't find it anywhere. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this video before and knows what creator made it or what it's called.

I’m 17 and I have never experienced being confessed to—by anyone. It’s not a goal of mine for someone to like me, but sometimes I think I’m incapable of being loved. Almost all of my friends have their love interests, and I’m the only one stuck being alone. I have only experienced confessing and most of the times, I get rejected. I tried to ask my friend’s opinion about me, and I asked if I wasn’t pretty or kind enough—they answered with me being a bit “intimidating” for guys. And well that’s a bit true, I didn’t like being social with guys most of the time. But it’s not like I’m only attracted to one gender.

I speak up on what’s right and stand up for myself, and I’m not the outgoing typa person. And sometimes I think I’m too much for other people. I’m not pretty, tall, skinny, athletic, smart (im average), talented, I think those could be affecting me as a romantic interest for one.

Anyway, I just feel like I’m missing out on something here.

Methods to confess to your crush based on closeness.

1. Strangers: ho why is u confessing at this stage (?!) Sorry, jokes aside, be very aware that confessing outright are basically dropping your chances to a not so good state, unless you're finer than sylus (lad reference haha), and even so, there's absolutely no guarantee. So, first, you're gonna approach them, be casual about it, you're NOT gonna go on all fours and overwhelm them with your feelings. Make sure they're not already in a relationship, obvi, and now..exhibit time, on how to APPROACH your crush in the first place!

A: school crush:

~ if he/she is part of one (or more) of your classes: try to be seated near them, hopefully you get to make small talk over homework, grades, annoying teachers, and weird rules. Definitely spend enough time joking around that asking them for their number/insta doesn't feel too weird, keep it casual!

~ if he/she is a hallway crush lowk js trip onto them and tell them "wow, I js fell for you" (joke uhm), but in all seriousness, in this kinda case, best bet is to find their social media handles, and js reply through stories, bond over interests, and have interesting convos. Then, proceed onto waving in the hallways/smiling at them/making eye contact and slowly, talk irl, make sure you're vibing enough.

~ if he/she is a mutual friend, honestly, choose a friend you trust, spill your guts out, make them your wingman. Very effective because you have have inside member of the squad tryna help you out :)

~ if he/she is your best friend, find something that differentiates between you and couples, find their love language, cater to it, write small notes, text them nice things, cook smt, and do things that feel kinda romantic, but don't really cross over into the territory immediately! It works, trust me, it builds up the thoughts about wanting to be with YOU as more than a friend!

B: workplace crush:

~ if he/she is a fellow coworker: try to joke/tease a lot more, help out with their work if you want to, text them something about your common interests, something you can bond on other than work, maybe meet up, spend some time after closing, walk each other home/ until some common point, and make them feel like "wait I don't wanna leave their company even if it's js work purposes", it makes the difference.

~ if he/she is your regular customer: honestly, if youre in the café or restaurant kinda place, easiest way is to doodle a bit on their coffee cups/napkins, js light hearted stuff, maybe a quote, maybe a cat drawing, maybe js their name in a cute font, and they'll hopefully start to look forward to your little doodles! And who knows, maybe you can spill in your insta handle through a short and cute message?

~ if he/she is your boss uhm..haha. lowk not cut out for the power imbalances but yeah (if u really need the advice tho, hmu gais)

C: neighborhood crush

~ if he/she is a friend, js get them to do their and your common interests; play a sport together, js walk under the night sky, sneak out of your houses to eat food (NOT ASKING U TO DO SO, ITS AN IDEA), and js get comfy with each other :)

~ if he/she is a stranger/someone you see on a daily basis, js walk up to them if they're almost the same age, try to ask about their studies/work, how they're faring, and js general stuff, hopefully they're nice asf and respond like a good homosapien

Here are several different ways to confess, pick the one that resonates the most to you!!

~ a letter: cheesy, heartwarming, and honestly one of the easiest methods. You js pour your entire feelings onto a paper, be very careful to not overdo your declaration of love, and remember, be true to how you feel, don't downplay/over hype the emotions you feel for them, it's not like they'll be grading your feelings right? Js stay honest, know that over the course of writing this letter, you're lightening the burden over your heart, and you're gonna come to terms with the fact that you giving this person your heart is one of the sweetest things ever, and if they don't feel the same way, that's okay. You're not at fault.

~ a video: yeah, a very cheesy way again, js a compilation of all the memories you've spent together, texts you've freaked out over, filming each other, hanging out together, and js every moment that made you give a piece of yourself to this person. Romantic asf babe.

~ a small compilation of things they love: their fav chocolate, paper flowers that they like, a bunch of stickers, merch of a fandom they're in, and js si ple things could be the most thoughtful thing ever. Bonus points if the fact is smt they mentioned casually/years/months/a while ago!

~ planning a not-a-date: take them out to do some of both your fav things together! Maybe go bowling, eat street food, or get ice cream, and do things you both really really like, js a day spent on things you love doing with them, and js confess at the end of this perfect day. You don't need a perfect speech. The beautiful day you've given them is sincere enough for them to know how serious you are.

~ in case you simply wanna get it over with: still js tell it to their face on your own. Yes, on your own. Not through a friend, doesn't matter if you think you're not good enough for them. No degradation in this household btw. You're beautiful, you're amazing, you cared enough to dare telling them this, and if they can't appreciate the time/effort/care you had for them, maybe this happened for a reason. Remember, you're always gonna be SOMEONE'S first choice, someone's first love, someone's first chapter in love, and..its okay if this isn't them.
