I have LaPorta, but have considered trading him. Guy with Kraft has him up for trade. Both are coming off injury: LaPorta with his back and Kraft with the ACL. LaPorta has more competition for targets. It seems both are slated to play week 1 as of right now. I also have Kittle and Pitts but Kittle at 33 coming off an Achilles tear isn’t promising, and at this point Pitts is a roster clogger that I don’t want to get rid of lol

I’ve got a Cobra 29 LTD classic paired with a Lil Will antenna. It was working great, but recently started having issues with the ant warning light. My swr is still between 1.2-1.4, but when I talk the ant light lights up. It started out only flashing when I said certain letters now it’s full blown on pretty much the entire time I talk. I had the cable routed under the door seal and through the extended cab door I was told that would be fine, but maybe not?

I’m new to CB’s, bought a Cobra 29 LTD Classic about a month ago and have been mostly listening in and learning as much as I can. My cobra has am/fm but that’s it, I really want one with ssb and noaa channels. I was going to wait and then upgrade to a President George later on, but I just saw a used Bearcat 980ssb for $90. Comes with the radio, mic, and some coax. I’m assuming I can just re-use the power cable that came with the Cobra? Is it worth it at $90? I’ve heard the displays can go out, but at $90 is it worth the risk to get ssb/noaa?

Looking at buying a used riding mower as my wife and I don’t want to pay someone to mow our yard anymore. We found a Cub Cadet GT1554 with 491 hours for $400 on Facebook marketplace. 491 seems like it’s on the higher end, but with the little research I’ve done on this model it seems like it’s on the higher end of residential mowers? Is it a good deal?

Need a new antenna, thought about doing a stake hole mount but I’m not wanting to spend the money on that right now. All 3 are around $50, the Hustler is the longest at 43” with a spring. It sounds like the little will is pretty popular, but I like the idea of easy removal of the K30. The Hustler is tempting though with more range. Any suggestions?

My buddies and I got cb’s recently, I installed mine this past weekend. It’s a Cobra 29 LTD Classic in a 2012 Silverado ext cab, with a 36” magnet mount antenna. I’m very new to all of this and google isn’t helping.

(Skip if not related) Antenna mounting: I’ve got the antenna mounted on the roof, but at the very back of the cab because the coax wouldn’t reach. I have the coax ran down the back of the cab, under the cab, and through the floor in the back seat. From there, it goes under my center console and into the back of the cb.

It was a used radio I got off eBay, but came with everything needed including a manual. I did the calibration and everything seems right to me… ch20 cal and swr then again with ch 1 and 40. The manual says the readings should be higher on 1 and 40 but it was the same reading.

Set it to S/RF (I think I’m supposed to set it to this while transmitting and receiving?) and as soon as I hit the mic the needle jumps over 3, when I try to talk the ant lights up.

Chat GPT and Google both say the antenna is the issue, but I want to get Reddit’s opinion. Chat GPT says that the coax being run under the truck could be the issue because the frame is a “bad RF environment”. I’m not sure how else I would run the cable though.
