If you’re despairing over the three long weeks of no Premier League football, tuning into the women’s team for the next couple of weekends could help alleviate that (or seeing them in person if you’re in the area — the Merseyside derby will be played at Anfield).

We had some brilliant signings over the break and the reds are looking fierce this season so the derby should be a brawl.

Sounds like it was a strange format, we played some academy players, Brosnan performed when needed and we dominated position, but didn't manage to put it in where it counts.
