Great duet song suggestions

I've been complemented by women for my voice and they've asked if they could duet with me. When I ask them "how about a whole new world? Aladdin ST", they take a 180 on me

So other than Picture by Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, or Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, what other great duet songs are out there?

Is it wasteful to make chicken and vegetable stock and throw out the chicken and veggies after?

I love making chicken and vegetable stock and drinking them out of a cup. But I find theres lots of vegetables (celery, carrots, onions) and chicken back meat (I buy chicken carcases but the butcher always leaves on the back meat) at the end of it and people typically include it in their soup. First time i've made it, i threw out everything that wasnt liquid.

Is this considered really wasteful?

Is praying quietly in your mind just as valid as praying vocally?

I don't consider myself an introvert but I find myself praying in silence, in my own mind, rather than praying vocally outloud. Even when I'm in my own space, with no one around, I pray quietly.

Does this weaken my prayers to God? Is it strengthened if I prayed out loud instead?

Is it common courtesy to let Elevator occupants exit first, before entering the elevator?

Had this happen to me where I was exiting the elevator but this 60 yr old lady on the opposite side decided to rush in first. Is there an unwritten rule that occupants should exit first before anyone in the lobby tries to enter in?

FYI, Immature me, decided to hit all the floor buttons on the way out

Do colourful tie dye shirts make Christians uncomfortable?

I wore a rainbow like tie dye shirt to a Christian event that was focused on children (They had bouncy castles, games, etc...). I figured the shirt is kid friendly, given it was colourful. But I got a sense of discomfort from the parents. Many of them werent too talkative to me. It didnt occur to me until after the party that because of the rainbow of colours, it may have been seen as promoting LGBTQ, which is not the case.

Do tie dye shirts make Christians uncomfortable? Am I overthinking this?

Was the Snake in the garden of Eden actually Satan?

Having this discussion with some other Christians but nobody has found anything in scripture that has stated the Eden Snake was Satan. It was simply implied

What was the purpose of Jesus' first sign, turning water into wine?

While I understood feeding thousands, curing the blind, the sick and the dying, I dont understand what was the purpose of Jesus turning water into wine for that wedding reception. Did he not tell his mother that it wasn't his time yet? I don't understand why he did it anyways

Do introverts who join a "cold" social gathering, hope that an extrovert would talk and befriend them?

I've joined a fb friending group and after going to a house party, i've noticed there's alot of introverts who arent talking to each other.

Also it's by "cold" social gathering, I mean the introvert is without knowing anyone before going to said social gathering.

Is it offensive to refer to God with the pronoun "her"?

I was listening to an old 90s song, Counting Blue Cars by Dishwalla and here's the lyrics:

>Must have been late afternoon
On our way, the sun broke free of the clouds
We count only blue cars, skip the cracks in the street
And ask many questions, like children often do

[Chorus]
We said, "Tell me all your thoughts on God"
'Cause I would really like to meet her
And ask her why we're who we are
Tell me all your thoughts on God
'Cause I am on my way to see her
So tell me, am I very far, am I very far now?

I feel like this is a great non gospel song about God that's mainstream but the "her" part had me confused

What's your Christian take?

How do you feel about the bar or wait staff singing?

A few friends and I went to a newishly established karaoke night at a bar last week. Friday night and the bar only had a quarter capacity, it was not busy. However the people that were there, most were looking to sing. We noticed after our songs, but still on the same rotation, our waitress, bartender and even one of the BoH workers got a chance to sing. It didnt bug us at first but after the 12+ person rotation (includes the host), we noticed it wasnt a one off, the staff were in regular rotation for the night.

We didnt complain or gave feedback but it did bother us that the staff was included. I could understand if the bar was dead, the staff being included would make sense but putting the rotation to 12 or more people felt inappropriate.

I'm wondering how all of you feel about this

KJs, what is your take on a "Disney takeover" at your shows?

My friend has this knack of always singing the same 8 or so songs everytime we go out for Karaoke and his gf agrees with me that we're bored of it. So she suggested we challenge ourselves to pick only Disney songs next time. I'm all on board with it, but it makes me wanting of taking it a step further. What if we make plans of it, where 6-8 of us all agree on Disney songs only but instead of our regular spot, we'd hit up dive bars where there's fewer patrons. The gf thinks we'd be disrupting the vibe of some of these bars and drive out some of their regulars

KJs, what do you think?

Is the song, Banditos by The Refreshments, unknowingly racist?

So I was invited to a Karaoke house party by some of my Filipino friends and one of them encouraged me to pick a song from the 90s which I grew up with but wasnt one that was popular enough that they would know. So I picked the Banditos by the Refreshments, a song I thought was funny when I was a pre teen, but midway in the song, I sang the lyrics which made me feel awkward, especially infront of Filipino nationals:

"So give your ID card to the border guard

Your alias says you got Jean Luc Picard

Of the united federation of planets

'Cause they won't speak English any ways

Everybody knows

That the world is full of stupid people

So meet me at the mission at midnight

We'll divvy up there"

When I first listened to it in the 90s, I was too young to really realize what the lyrics really meant, but now as an adult, I feel like it implied that foreigners who didnt speak English or know American Pop culture were stupid people. While my friends didnt say anything, I felt like they werent amused by the choice of song. Is this song racist? If you think so, should it be banned from most karaoke song lists?
