I was at the last Long Island Doctor Who convention over the weekend and Philip Segal said that the TVM movie rights are back with the BBC after 30 years. That was brought to the attention to Daphne Ashbrook and Jason Haigh Ellery who were both there as well.

Does this mean we might finally be getting Grace and Chang Lee over at BF Towers?

Would be cool to see some sort of natural carry on of stories right after the TVM with those characters. As long as they weren't some of the more continuity breaking idea that were presented in the Leekey Bible. Easily a few box sets out of this! Fingers crossed!

....now I think I'm far more confident of it's return after it being deemed culturally important to be included in not one but two major profile sightings in the past week.

Sure you get lip service from studio heads and chiefs about it coming back etc etc but we all know we should take those words with a pinch of salt.

Results and actions speak far more than soundbites ever do. So yes, DW and its iconography being featured in the Commonwealth Games and the 'What Has the BBC Ever Done For Me'? ad campaign has sparked some hope in my heart(s).

A little bit of an overdue post but I've been busy traveling and then work took over as soon as I came back home.

I just wanted a post to say thank you to the woman from Gotland, Sweden who had a single free paid ticket with her at the Friday afternoon recording for the latest TM recording block and she gave it to me. I had a free ticket despite staying up all night waiting for tickets to drop. They released about 30mins after I finally collapsed to sleep. But with her ticket I had a guarantee in, especially as that recording didnt let in many free tickets at all.

We have such a wonderful show and it's cultivated a tremendously lovely, funny, smart and kind fandom. We should be all proud to be a tiny part of it all.
