Unpopular Opinion: I’m just not all feeling my GHM9

Out side of the fact that it is a very small package which makes it a great pack/truck gun, I’d still reach for my Hera Triarii if SHTF.

Feed Ramp question

I recently picked up a US-18xxxxxx series GHM. My goal is to eventually buy a Glock lower but have a question about the feed ramp. Oem mags are L/R feed, but Glock mags are center feed.

In short, are there issues with the feed ramp if I get a glock lower? Will the ramp have to be modified?

Charging handle question

I bought a pre owned GHM with folding bolt lever. I just discovered that it is not recommended for the right side. As a lefty, this is less than ideal.

Looking for recommendations on a good, non folding lever.

Would swap if it’s a good one.

I finally see the benefits of the grip angle and u-notch sights

After decades of fighting/hating the grip angle, I think i understand Gaston’s thought process. It was after my latest instinctive shooting class. We were asked to draw and immediately fire without a perfect sight picture. The 22 degree angle puts the front sight higher than the rear. However, if you torque your wrist (elevating the rear vs lowering the front) the POI is almost identical and 7-10 yards. The dot and goal post are perfect for this initial “nose up” sight picture because the front dot contrasts the goalpost as to not get them confused. The brain (at least my brain) can easily settle the dot into the rear. But if not, you see a more defined left right. So if you Up down is acceptable, you will zipper them. Errors in center are less impactful than errors in left right.

I rendered this but failed to instruct it to change the rear to the goal post. Then ran out of image allotment for 24 hours. But the premise holds. A three dot pyramid is still a geometrical picture the brain registers.

First image is presentation, then the nose drop as the wrist torques. The second is presentation, the rear elevates as the wrist torques.

Is Sig slowly transitioning the p365?

I have a theory that they are slowly going to grow the p365 ecosystem to include the larger platforms. Meaning they will grow the slide and grip module to compact or full size dimensions and slowly let the 320 FCU universe die.

I figured since they know the 320 FCU is flawed, but will not ever admit to it, they will rally around the 365. I thinks the Fuse is just the beginning.

Yes, they would definitely have to widen the slide lock and takedown lever.

I love Puzzles (said 5 y/o me).

I’m honestly at a loss as to why they would design an FCU that detonates if you don’t hold it just right when it’s not in the grip module. I had forgotten the joys of general maintenance on the 365. I took it to the range to decide if I should keep it. Positive experience. When I removed the FCU for cleaning, BOING! I was immediately reminded why it went in the safe.

An EDC FA shouldn’t be the equivalent of a Swiss watch.

US-18 Knowledge Request

How does the US-18xxxx S# compare to the US-2xxxxx S#? Are there any things it’s missing vs the newer model?

Pull the trigger, or…

…wait for the dust to settle?

I’ve been all over the place on PCC’s and recently stumbled on the B&T ghm9 rabbit hole. I think this is going to be the one. Considering the recent legal issues between BT AG v USA, I’m inclined to fight the urge to pay over the odds for one off of an auction site or contact a dealer.

Pros: instant gratification.
Cons: Current asking price from 3rd party sellers. The used market are all USA products which brings warranty into question if/when AG wins. Unknown time frame for AG to re establish a US footprint.

Thoughts/advice?
