Is the USA version of the EXCM341-305GD as bad as it sounds like it is?

I'm a hobbyist woodworker, currently moving homes to a place with a bigger shop area (yay for me!). I have a 12' long benchtop to setup a miter saw on, but there is only 25" of counter depth backing up to a sheetrock wall. My old 10" compact slider (a discontinued Craftsman) was actually damaged in the move - so my hand is being forced a little bit here.

I have some credit card point I can convert to Lowe's gift cards available and was thinking to "buy once, cry once" on a Bosch compact 12" slider. I noticed a few weeks ago that they are in the midst of a rollout of an updated model (the EXCM341-305GD) which has fewer exciting new features for the USA model than the Euro spec. I'm fine with that because I understand the euro spec model comes with a steeper price tag to match the extra features - and I think I can live without them.

What I am not fine with is a bunch of early reviews on the Lowe's website (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-Bosch-Glide-12-in-15-Amp-Dual-Bevel-Sliding-Compound-Corded-Miter-Saw/5017810583) that indicate there might be problems with blade run-out and worse deflection than the previous model.

Has anybody put their hands on one of these yet and can offer an unbiased opinion on whether these reviews are just a small sample, or if the new saw is really a downgrade from the GCM12SD which it is replacing? There was a short window when my local store had a GCM to sell at a discounted price, but it is gone from the website now...

All thoughts are appreciated!

Bosch gts10 sparking heavily

So i bought a broken bosch professional gts10 on marketplace. It was a sparky boy. I measured the collector and it was cooked. So i orderen a new anchor, bearings and brushes.

But it still sparks very heavily as you see on the video

Im assuming the stator is done for aswell. But before throwing more money at this, is this the correct call? Or is there something im missing. I measured the stator with my multimeter but i couldnt find anything obvious.

SDS drill weak and slow?

SDS drill weak and slow in all modes, bought it used and internally it looks really new. What could be the issue here? The battery was fully charged but does it need a procore battery? Or piston rings gone hard since it hasn't been used much? Cheers!

Bosch Wet/Dry Vac GAS18V-3N incompatible with an expert line 8Ah battery.

I just bought and returned this combo to Lowes because the new type of 18V 8Ah expert line battery is a little bit larger than the old "Core". And the battery door on a shop vac will not shut properly or latch with the new battery installed. Even using maximum pressure to close the cover the latch won't close the lid. I wanted to let everyone know to be careful and aware of this issue!

Edit: I am talking about the new battery starter pack GXS18V-27N18X which according to Google was released in early 2026.

GKE 18V-40 Chainsaw first impressions ft Makita 36v

Not too many reviews/impressions of the Bosch biturbo chainsaw so here you go.

First time using the Bosch chainsaw + 8ah procore, my mate has a 36v makita.

Chopping a variety of trees, softwood and a bit of hardwood.

Makita has a higher chain-speed on paper but Bosch seems to have a lot more torque. The Makita would slow down a lot more compared.

Bosch has a much better trigger mechanism, Makita has an annoying safety button plus the side trigger lock.

Makita probably bit faster to cut - also a lot more expensive.

Overall, very impressed in the Bosch.

Bosch GBS18V-75 belt sander

Is the GBS18V-75 planned for introduction into the US market? I want one, but don't want to import if I can avoid it.

The most powerful cordless drill with 8Ah battery for $163 (refurbished)

If you aren’t aware, GSB18V-1330C (GSB 18V-150C global/EU) is the most most powerful cordless drill out there, not just from Bosch lineup, but from other manufacturers as well.

There’s a coupon discount from CPO Outlets until Aug 17 and you get 8Ah ProCORE PROFACTOR battery, charger and a bag (I love this bags!).

CPO Outlets is one of the most trustworthy official Bosch refurbished sellers, I own 3 tools purchased from them, they all arrived brand new (minus original box, they ship in custom refurbished only boxes) and comes with 2 years warranty for this deal specifically.

I was looking for 8Ah battery only but this deal was too good to pass, this kit usually costs $300+ new.

Do most of us need this much power? Not really, even most of the professional contractors won’t max it out, but it’s compact for its power, has kickback control and one of the coolest feature it comes with is electronic angle control! You can set it to 45 and 90 degrees and green LED will let you know if your angle is correct. It’s also a hammer drill and can be connected to Bosch app for more finer controls.

Now I need to sell my GSB18V-65 because between my 12V drill and this one, it became pretty much useless :)

Do brand new Bosch items sold on Amazon come with warranty?

Something I wanted cleared up, do Bosch power tools sold on Amazon still come with their 6 year (in Australia) warranty? If so how does the process work, I’ve only bought tools from the local tool shop and have returned them if I’ve had issues, if I have a problem am I required to ship the tool back to the seller or a Bosch service centre?

Adding onto that, as an example the Bosch Flexiclick isn’t available in Australia, would the warranty still be valid if I purchased it and used it here?

Thank you for your time !

New Bosch dishwasher owner - 18 days in and I'm still not getting consistent results. Is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to dishwashers and bought a Bosch dishwasher (series 6) about 18 days ago. I honestly expected the experience to be much smoother, but so far it hasn't been.

We even had a Bosch technician visit our home. He measured our water hardness and configured the dishwasher accordingly. I'm using dishwasher salt and detergent as recommended.

However, I'm still getting inconsistent results, and I'm starting to wonder if this is normal or if I'm doing something wrong.

I've attached a few photos of what I'm seeing.

Issues I'm experiencing:

  • Small black dots/spots appearing on some stainless steel utensils.
  • Dark stains/discoloration around the rim of some stainless steel plates.
  • Cloudy or white marks on spoons and other utensils after washing.
  • Sometimes the same utensil comes out perfectly clean, but the next wash it develops marks again.

At this point, instead of simply loading the dishwasher and forgetting about it, I feel like I'm troubleshooting after almost every wash.

Since this was an expensive purchase for our family, I really want to understand whether this is expected behavior or whether something is actually wrong.

I'd appreciate advice from people who have been using Bosch (or any dishwasher) for a long time.

I'm using Fortune dishwasher detergent along with Finish rinse aid, and the dishwasher salt is filled as well.

My questions:

  1. Do the marks in these photos look familiar?
  2. Are they caused by water hardness, detergent, rinse aid, salt settings, or something else?
  3. Is this considered normal, especially during the first few weeks?
  4. Would you consider these cosmetic marks, or do they indicate an actual problem with the dishwasher or my setup?

Thanks in advance. I'm genuinely trying to learn and understand what I'm doing wrong.

Bosch Pro Deal - GDR 18V-215 or GEX 185-LI

Hey all,

As part of the Bosch Pro Deal, I can choose between the GDR 18V-215 impact driver and the GEX 185-LI orbital sander.

I’ve read both positive and negative reviews about each, so I’m curious which one would be the better choice overall. I currently own neither tool, but I’ll need both in the near future anyway.

So my main question is: which one is more worth getting through the Pro Deal?

Would it make more sense to:

  • take the GEX 185-LI because it’s good enough, and buy a better impact driver separately, or
  • take the GDR 18V-215 and buy a better orbital sander separately?

Interested to hear from anyone who has experience with either (or both).

3rd bit in 2 days to break

What is going on with their bits the rotary bits this is the third one in two days the break like this who do I contact the support and get this replaced?

u/NotSureWhat2Put_- — 14 days ago

New tool day 😊

I like the grinder with the rotating gearbox, not sure about the planer, it does a very good job and leaves a nice surface but it's not really sliding well over the wood. Maybe it's the wood, I don't have another planer to compare with.

Reciprocating saw question

I bought a new Bosch rs325 reciprocating saw today to remove an old hot tub. After installing the blade (also new) however, the collar doesn't come all the way back to its original position. The blade seems fairly well held in place, I can't wriggle it free. Should I return it all the same?

PRO GAS18V-6LS: Where do I find the "Ausblasschlauch" I need to use the blow function?

Looking to Buy the the specific hose for my PRO GAS18V-6LS that is needed to take advantage of the blow function if my dry vacuum. Nothing about any part numbers in the manual, also called Bosch and they told me they don't know either. This is getting ridiculous.

Bosch Pro GHP 6-14 High pressure washer

Hi all,

I am looking to buy a new high pressure washer for home use (car, garden, etc.).
I currently have a Kärcher K5 Power Control but the hose is very annoying, tangles up way too many times.

I've been looking at Nilfisk ones with a flex hose, but recently also saw the Bosch Professional GHP 6-14 for €250,-.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to find a lot of information or any reviews on that one.

Does anyone perhaps have the model and can share their experiences with it?

Thank you in advance.

GAL18V-40 charger

I got about a dozen Bosch 18V chargers - the GLI18V-40.

Recently I got another one from a kit, and where it used to be a BOSCH Professional logo, now it says AMPSHARE. It is still GLI18V-40.

Is it the same exact charger with just a different label, or is there any functional enhancement like charges faster or better etc?

What do you all do when you have too many chargers? I have twelve Bosch 18V chargers.
