Can we talk about GLP-1’s?

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but watching GLP-1 medications completely change the weight loss landscape has been weird. If you’ve spent years counting calories, lifting weights, saying no to cravings, and fighting for every pound lost, it’s hard not to feel a little bitter when someone can lose the same amount of weight with the help of a weekly injection, diet and exercise.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t use these medications. If they’re appropriate and prescribed, that’s between them and their doctor. I just think it’s okay to acknowledge that for people who fought that battle the old-fashioned way, it can feel like years of relentless discipline suddenly matter a little less.
That’s not resentment toward individuals. It’s just an honest feeling about how dramatically the game has changed.
