How to play!? Dead voices.

So my mom gave me an answering machine micro cassette with my father's voice (which I've never heard). Apparently new machines costs in the hundreds? I just need a cheap thing to play the tape once and probably never again. Can anyone recommend something that can easily be bought from Amazon, Walmart, bestbuy, etc? I'd rather buy something to play it now than have to search thrift stores for a few months looking for a tape player.

Turned Alexa plus off, now she can't even do 10+10?

I have always used Alexa for simple math problems, like 156.8 minus 143.2. Both the plus and normal versions did it fine. Once I turned off plus, now the regular Alexa says, "I'm sorry, I don't know how to do that."

What!?!?! I tried different numbers and she just doesn't know how anymore. This is purposefully dumbing down of old Alexa and I'm pissed.

Pool chlorine and a hose cleans the exterior without a pressure washer!

I have not cleaned the siding or gutters of my home in five years. I did not want to deal with dragging out the pressure washer and dealing with all that mess. I thought I would need to take a magic eraser to my gutters.

I saw a video of a lady saying to buy a gallon of pool chlorine, $6 at Walmart or $8 at Lowes.  Mix it in a pump pressure sprayer with one gallon water to two or three cups of the chlorine….then rinse in five to ten minutes with your garden hose….it worked so great. No scrubbing or pulling out the pressure washer.

Day 3 of 3 years of depression, 4 hours for one area.

I have found that baby wipes are great for me for dusting and cleaning. I don’t need to worry about a rag getting dirty, spreading dirty water, the baby wipes are a godsend.

I want to take a moment to thank the cleaning Reddit communities. I was surprised at how much positive reaction my posts have received…I’ve not had one bad or rude comment. Not one. A large part of today’s motivation for me was being able to post a Day 3 update. So today’s attribution is to you!

Day 2 - Three years of depression, four hours for one area.

Continued from yesterday's post. Only one angle for the before photo. Cat tax included.

Items went to trash, goodwill, or a closet/garage if I'm keeping it. I figured out that part of my issue is/was that items didn't have designated places and I put things down versus put things away. I don't have a drawer for scissors, so my scissors float from table to table. Now, I'm working on every item having an address. If the address isn't available right now, then the item is being temporarily stored. My goal is to get the whole house clean and then deal with finding homes for the homeless. I'm working really really hard on putting things in their home, not "down". Also, surfaces are for activities, not things.

Who does the free deliveries?

I see that SW now does free deliveries. This is great with gas being so expensive. Does SW use roadie/uber/Doordash for these deliveries, or do you have real SW employees do it?

Also, will they leave it on my porch, or is this a social event where I need to answer the door and accept the delivery like it's the 1900s?
