Turning 80 Next Week

I retired many years ago from a career in television wherein I moved around quite a bit. I've had a bit of a problem with accumulating stuff over the years, but much of this stuff is highly collectible. The problem is I don't know what to do with it. I'm talking everything from World war II newspapers to Media company coffee cups to original Star wars action figures. I don't have the wherewithal to handle these things individually. What is your advice?

Getting Older

The four rules of getting older:

If it gets hard, use it.

Never pass a bathroom without going in.

Never assume it's only a fart.

Never take your cellphone near the toilet.

When I was serving as a radio man for Coast guard group station Chicago (NMP), my job was to communicate via Morse code to All ships in the western Great lakes. Call letters of ships can produce mellifluous combinations with a speed key when the spacing is removed. It was extremely common for both the ships and radio stations to do this. Hence, you never heard their call letters separately, just in one stream without spaces. For example, the Coast guard cutter mesquite was NRPW, but to everyone listening, it sounded like this:

Dah dit dit dah dit dit dah dah dit dit dah dah.

And so it was in my youth.
