Growing up, everyone was deeply saddened by the incident in the forgotten capital.
Another moment that had a deep emotional impact on me at least was seeing, in the crater, the almighty Sephiroth, shirtless, standing their vulnerable and deeply wounded by the buster sword—cut down by his little brother and former admirer, strife.
It’s something quite carthartic and sorrowful about seeing someone with such a strong will that hurt and defeated notwithstanding what he has done to others throughout the story.
