I can’t believe I found this today . I’ve been wanting a 16” flat ride for a while now but I assumed no one ever made one.
today at my local music store I happened to find this vintage 16” Zildjian flat ride. It’s decently light weight also!

I heavily modified this kit to make my dream jazz kit.
A bunch of years ago someone sold me just the catalina club Toms for $150.
I had my drum tech friend change the bearing edges to vintage gretsch round over edges.
I then ordered gretsch die-cast hoops.
And painted to badges to look more like round badge colours.
I also re wrapped a child’s 16” bass drum I got from value village to Match.
I then added the gretsch Tom arm and better quality legs to the kids bass drum .
And to finish it all off I painted the interiors of all drums with galvanized aluminum fence paint (the same type gretsch uses according to my research )
Imo This kit sounds a lot like a really nice round badge kit. I Totally love it .
