40 might be the new 30: whoa

So first I was joking with my friend about how attractive 40s women are ("hear me out"), but then I just sat for a second and was mesmerized. I searched on Famous Birthdays and browsed 40s celebrities. Y'all, Drake is turning 40 this year. SZA is turning 40 in three years. Kendrick'Lamar and MatPat from Game Theory are 40 in one year.

I feel uncomfortable about this. I'm an outsider looking in: I'm middle Gen Z, but I think that at a certain point we have to stop saying that the younger people are hitting the wall and, instead, we need to start saying that 40 isn't when the wall cracks anymore.

I think unless wellness conditions are deteriorating you would be good at 40.

Anyways though I was hoping yall would celebrate the new era of 40 and celebrate how far 40 has changed from 2000 to 2026. That was kinda was I was hoping. Have a happy nice day!

Edit: Kendrick don't look like a 40 from 2008: he like he's in his prime representing West Coast and Compton: or at least that's how I viewed him from his super bowl music video. When I saw him perform The Heart Part 5 I didn't think about his age, I thought about his vision. If he looked older that would have standed out, but he looks good, and I think most 40s like this: if they were to mentor a 21 or a 25 person the immediate idea wouldn't be to ask the age of Unc or to "shame him for being a Yapping Unc"~ it would be to think about his wisdom. So that's the perks of this new group of millennials looking young.

Nurses are Heroes, but Higher Education is a bit Annoying

Yeah. I finished a liberal arts associates degree in 2024 and desired to study biology major or chemistry major at an undergraduate college because science excites me, but sadly my father chose to only pay for my education if I studied in Nursing, just like my father and my mother studied.

Keep in mind my father made my older sister study Nursing after she earned a Biology degree, but she was somehow a beast and was able to pull it off and earn a bachelors of science in nursing in 2021. I still joke and tell her "you were able to survive your rough upbringing and end up a high class employed grown up." But that's a tiny joke I can't explain that here.

I dont believe I'm able to do that. And this sounds fk'ed up but I don't want to do that. Nurses are wonderful and they save lives, and they make massive risks like traveling to epidemics and saving countries from west nile & ebola, but I don't want to be a nurse, I just wanted to make my Mother feel really bad for saying that I wasn't intelligent or sociable enough to be a nurse. But if I actually enter nursing school I wouldn't want to do the medical textbooks or the multiple benchmark ATI accuplacers every semester.

But if you want to do that then you can pursue it, you can succeed: hundreds of thousands have already succeeded. And I apologize if this is dissuading: I don't want you to feel scared just because I feel defeated about this.

I just had this emotional situation because I watched a medium form video from MeringuePie that was on Jack Morgan RLP's youtube channel (which I think her father forced her to delete... that's depressing). The video was titled "Gen Z is going through a Midlife Crisis... IDK" made two weeks ago.

But I know y'all can do it: if y'all have enough passion, proactive studying, and integrity y'all can succeed. And y'all will be happy when y'all succeed, just like my sister.

Edit: um... wow.. I'm kicking myself in the foot right now... Um people I'm male not female. I'm 22M not 22F. I'm sorry that I might have came across some kind of way. Please do not downvote people in the comments this is a safe space I just am embarassed and I wanted to set the record straight. I'm a man that is attracted to women. Um... but have a nice day!

Men Working on Finances so they Reject Dating: Myth or Real?

Some men try Working on Finances before Marriage to such a degree that they Reject Dating.

They do this in the pursuit of Ensuring they Improve their Finances and have fool proof towards positive financial health once they do have Children.

Or so once they are able to Engage and they have the immediate funds to turn a woman into a Fiancee with a Ring - Myth or Real?

I am an outsider looking in - early 20s male and I'm not looking for dating at the moment.

Disclaimer: Like "early" 20s, going to be in community college until at least the end of Fall 2028.

And then maybe push for an accelerated Bachelors degree program so I can receive that in December 2029.

(if that's even possible. don't I need to pass the NCLEX-RN and have proof of employment before January 2029)

(In order for me to go into RN-to-BSN for Spring 2029, and for it to actually work)

I'm thinking ideal.
