Lost AI should've been reworked.

I can't begin to say how stupid it looks for an entire swarm of lost to spawn directly on an enemy troop, but because you haven't "discovered" them, the lost run right past them. The same enemy pack that literally kills half of them, yep just run right past them..

Meanwhile my troops, who in a fkin hallway completely out of line of sight, are targeted. Five dashers and a ton of random lost (static spawns) behind a wall whose only entrance is a door blocked by, you guessed it, lost, and behind them are two packs of enemies (gotta love protect the device). I'm willing to accept some nonsensical things since it is a videogame after all, but heatseeking lost with X-ray vision who are oblivious to enemies shooting them in the face is a little bit of a stretch.

They should at least wander around randomly if they have no vision of you, and they should DEFINITELY at least be aware of enemies if they start shooting at them. /endrant

Gatecrasher strikes again

That moment when you move into a semi-risky position (half cover) to kill a 3 hp commander because the chance of missing three 85% flanking shots in a row is 0.3%... and you miss all three.

That's pretty unlucky, but it could be worse right? Well next turn he retreats to full cover and crits my guy on the rooftop for his entire health bar. Then the advent troop who was out of vision runs in and targets my only dude who's behind full cover (because he was injured) and hits the shot.

Two dead soldiers because RNG decided to RNG. The fkin gatecrasher special.

JC Denton vs XCOM

JC teleports to the XCOM universe, discovers they don't have soy food and decides to go rogue (what a shame). He has access to all his augmentations and weaponry and infinite bioelectric energy. Can he defeat the commander?

XCOM has full upgrades and everyone is max rank. They also can utilize psionic troops. We'll say XCOM has a total of 100 troops.

Round 1: XCOM receives word JC is in an abandoned building but can only send 6 troops in at a time. JC knows XCOM is coming.

Round 2: Same thing as before but XCOM sends all 100 troops at once.

Round 3: JC says fuck it and raids the avenger taking all 100 troops on at once. XCOM knows JC is coming but not exactly when or where he will come from.

Bradford be like

Commander, the aliens say you're invincible and we're going to prove them wrong. I've received word that a field commander and 20 of his best troops are hunkered down in the sewers. The area is also swarming with lost and there's a high probability the chosen will make an appearance.

So I'm sending 3 of your "best" troops in to make sure you, I mean he never leaves that place alive. Good luck commander.

What if things were different?

Denton? Walton Simons here... Gunther and I are going out for some burgers at Hell's Kitchen. You're coming too, it's about time you ate something other than soy food and candy bars. And please... stop telling the bartender your vision is augmented when she asks you about your glasses. No one knows what the heck you're talking about. Oh and bring some biocells, I bet Gunther 20 credits you'd beat him at darts.
