I spend so much time buying different toys and trying to figure out what he likes, and nothing keeps his attention like playing with (and destroying) the zippers on my clothes.

I received this letter from an endodontist (not the one we usually refer to) regarding a patient of ours who went there due to him being in network with her insurance.
I feel bad crowning this tooth, as I feel his prognosis of “fair” is overly optimistic. I don’t want to throw him under the bus with the patient, but I don’t feel like I should just pretend everything is great either. He also maxed out her benefits so any restoration we do would be out of pocket for her.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Hello all. I have tried extensively to research this topic but I can’t find any definitive answers on this specific subject, so hoping someone here might know.
My husband and I booked a 7 day cruise last December that is over Thanksgiving of this year. The total price was $6,400 for the two of us. We paid 10% ($640) initially upon booking, and then had a $1,500 FCC from a previous sailing applied to the balance in January. We haven’t made any other payments yet and still owe $4,260.
We recently found out that some relatives who were supposed to be overseas during Thanksgiving are now actually going to be in our town, and so we’d like to spend it with them. My question is about canceling this cruise and what we’ll get back (we didn’t book the fully refundable option). Will they keep our $640 and give us back the FCC? Or will they keep the FCC and we get the money refunded? Or do they possibly keep all of it and we get nothing back? Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks.
Today is an exceptionally shitty day, but why does it always feel like with any kind of negative interaction, we as dentists come out on the losing end?
Was trying to renegotiate fees with BCBS (they are used by the largest employer in our area, so we sorta need to take them as everyone else does). Got told that since we got a big FIVE PERCENT raise from them 3.5 years ago, that makes us ineligible to receive another one (5%) until next year.
About an hour after that, got a letter from a patient demanding a refund “or else” in an obvious purely money grabbing scheme. Called malpractice lawyer and was told that even though it was clear I was 100% in the right, due to the relatively small amount (<$350), I should just pay her and “hope she takes it and doesn’t also put you thru a frivolous board complaint”.
Just feeling like a human punching bag today. I’m 18 years out this month, and rarely a day goes by that I don’t dream of retirement at least once. Thank you for reading.
