New to me R1200R
Had it for a couple of weeks now and the step up from an F800R is immense. Partially new bike, but also because its just a much more capable machine but i’ve been out riding almost everyday.

So whilst I know that helmet noise in general is subjective to both the rider and the conditions (screen, farings, wind etc)
Is there anywhere that has done standardised noise testing? so a bunch of helmets in the same conditions with a "in these conditions, this helmet registers X dB" so you can objectively look at this helmet is quieter than another helmet, at least in standard conditions? and that has a frequency breakdown of that noise
I'm interested because I've got an LS2 Stream and a Scuberth C3 Pro, both are old and both need replacing, but I recently changed my bike and now it seems like the LS2 is quieter than the Schuberth but I can't decide if thats true or if the noise quality is just different.
and trying to decide if to move to the C5 model or over to the Shoei Neotec 3 or just bin the modular and go with S3 or GT Air 3. I wear glasses so modular is nice but maybe not worth extra noise
Hi All,
I'm taking delivery of a 2018 R1200R LC later this week, it's got the BMW cylinder covers on already, but I'm looking at fitting some crash bars as well as/instead of. Partially because I like the look of crash bars, and because I will also be wanting to fit some extra lighting and they provide a handy mounting solution.
The two that I've been looking at are the SW Motech bars and the Wunderlich Bars, of the two I prefer the look of the Wunderlich.
Does anyone have any pros/cons to either of these having fitted and run them yourselves, or what other options am I missing that would be worth looking at?
also if you happen to have thoughts on additional lights that would be welcome too.
Cheers
Couple of the M109 that I'm adding to my US Air Cav. Base coated in Vallejo 70.887 (US Olive Drab/Brown Violet), Tracks painted with flat brown, hit with a light Oily Steel (70.865), need to wash them. The Right hand M109 has a light sponge stippling of Grey Green (70.866) for wear and chipping. The muzzle breaks have been painted with Black mixed with a drop of Grey Green as have the running wheels (not sure if thats accurate but I like the look). Need to varnish them before adding some weathering powders around the tracks and skirts for mud, not sure whether to wash them or panel line them.
