Temporary dentures?

Hi there, I was hoping someone could help and maybe offer a suggestion.

My brother had his teeth pulled almost 2 months ago, the dentures he was molded for don’t fit at all. They’re way too big and he’s tried several times, he just can’t get them to be comfortable, even the dentist agrees they’re too big.

He has to wait to get new molds done, but we forgot he’s attending a wedding on the 29th. He says he’s fine wearing a mask, but I’d love to see him be able to smile and enjoy himself while there. (Especially because this a big photo-taking event, obviously)

Are there any store-bought, temporary dentures/flippers(?) that you could recommend he wear for the day that would be good?

Again, the wedding is on the 29th. I literally just had this thought, so time is of the essence. Thank you for any help!

Part identification and help - important

2008 Civic, 132,000 miles.

Quick backstory - my mechanic (who I’ve trusted for over 20 years) sold his business without notice. My oil was leaking and was told by the new mechanic I needed a new oil pan. He replaced it. Everything is fine until two days later when my car starts making a very loud banging sound (like a screen door in the wind) when driving over 50mph. I thought something was lodged in my engine, it was so loud and scared the hell out of me. He says he “can’t find the sound, everything looks good, he got it up to 70mph” but then he also said “I replaced the clips with zip ties, they’re much more secure”.

He also said my transmission and power steering are leaking (“but it’s a small leak and okay for now”). My car has never idled this hard and I’m fuming. I know my car is 18 years old, but my regular mechanic looked it over 4 months ago and said everything looked good, this guy touches it and it’s literally falling apart. I also had my engine mounts done four months ago by my regular mechanic and my car was running so smoothly.

I’m freaking out. What did he zip tie? How bad is this?

Pictures are looking straight down into the engine, I’m sorry, my camera wouldn’t focus and I couldn’t get better pictures. I have to run out, but if you need better pictures I can try again later.

Antique cross

Hi there, I’m hoping someone can help me with identifying this cross. I took it to a jeweler who couldn’t offer me any information, there are no markings, but it does test as sterling silver.

I know this is an antique piece, but I’m not sure exactly how old.

I tried to include a picture of the chain, it has a second, shorter chain attached. (I can’t imagine that piece is to be worn around a neck, so I’m not sure what it’s for).

Total length is about 23”. The cross measures about 3.5” tall. There are holes that go through it and a hole on the bottom.

If there is a religious jewelry sub that would better fit this or another sub, please let me know.

Thank you for your help.

[This belongs to a family member and is not something I am selling, but they would like to know value if at all possible]
