1927 / 1910 Lincoln gold token obverse trial impressions on a 14 KT gold ingot. Weight is 8.33 grams. These are obverse dies for Thomas Elder's Lincoln gold tokens. He produced a series of 3 gold tokens dated 1910, 1927, and 1939. This piece is a later trial for restrikes produced at some time in between the 1950s and 80s. The 1927 die used on this piece was Thomas Elder's original creation while the 1910 obverse die is a copy. I know of one other piece with the 1927 and 1939 obverses that sold on Stack Bowers. These are likely the double obverse mules in the article below. Ask $1050

BG-209a No Date (1853) California Fractional Gold Liberty Quarter Dollar. One of 2-3 known of this type. It was believed to be unique at the 2nd Edition of the Breen Gillio Guide on California Fractional Gold, even with no picture as the only known example was stolen. There are 2 certified by PCGS Graded MS-61 and MS-63. The MS-63 example is the Totheroh example. The MS-61 example has not been seen by any leading experts within the field and has no auction appearances and is theorized to be the Totheroh example from when it was sold to him by Robert Lecce. The entire Totheroh collection of period 1 California Fractional gold was certified by PCGS before it was sold in 2013. This example is graded NGC UNC details with reverse damage. The reverse damage is relatively minor being 2 scratches and what appears the be a small gouge. My ask is $22,000 through check or wire transfer.
