I have this one similarly-neurodivergent friend I've crushed on for years and I still don't stop thinking about her (I still think she liked me back though). Does anyone else have crushes that they just can't mentally let go of??

We met years ago and I crushed on her instantly. She also made me realise I was ND because she acted in ways that I never could freely do because I was always surrounded by NTs.

From her being so much like me, we connected so well but her avoidant attachment made it difficult to understand her.

I think from this difficulty, I've basically had her on my mind still for years (mainly when I don't have anyone else to occupy my mind) because I cannot figure out if she ever liked me.

I'm very sure she did like me back tbh but because I still don't stop thinking about her, I'm wondering moreso if this is relatable to anyone here?

((I swear I think about her every day lmaoo help me stop!! 😭))

I think my religious parents will never actually like me

Ever since I (25M) became an apostate (leaving religion) a few years ago, I realised that my parental support was only upheld by submitting to religion. The only time I can recall my dad saying he was proud of me was when I was 'baptised' within Sikhism during my late teens, which I didn't really want to do anyway. My mum recently said how she's disappointed in how I've become too, not in terms of education (obviously the case with Asian parents) but in terms of my life choices. It's literally religion that I stopped like I don't even drink or smoke anyway. I dunno it just seems like I won't ever see myself being liked by them.

It's why I don't really like my parents anymore too now. That 'unconditional parental love' is totally subject to conditions that I don't plan on ever filling.

I'm basically detached from anything they say.

It's got to a point where anything my mum says about me I genuinely do not care for anymore

25M btw

Whatever opinion she has means absolutely nothing to me. Any sort of thought she has about me or what my future should look like (in her mind of course, not my own) is simply just ignored now. So much so that I don't even remember what she says. I just remember how I felt.

Can the anxiety/stress of starting Lamotrigine have caused my focal aware seizure?

I was diagnosed with epilepsy last Tuesday and started Lamotrigine 25 mg on the Friday a few days after. This morning I had a focal aware seizure (deja vu aura) but I have been really taking care of my stress these few weeks so I'm surprised.

It's been 3 months since any type of seizure but this last week I've just been nervous with lamotrigine for obvious reasons.

Has that happened to any of you before? I'm really new to the community lol
