Update; I decided to just order a new top in a bigger size and just take in the band, this was turning into too big of a project for me but I believe it is do-able for someone with more skill. The good news is I spent less on the new top and will be getting a refund for the too small one!

Hi all, this group was recommended to me to ask for help!! I bought my swim suits for the summer, but my usual problem is that the actual bands and body sections fit well while the cups for my chest are too small. I can’t size up or it won’t fit my ribs. I hate underwire and have an “uncommon” bra size that restricts my options anyways.

Has anyone altered a bikini in this way before that can offer some recommendations? I’ll answer any clarifying questions! Thank you in advance, I’m desperate 🙏🏻

Hey everyone! I recently bought new suits for the summer, but my usual problem is that the tops fit my body but are too small for my chest. Has anyone done alterations on a bikini top to make the cups bigger?

I’ve been steaming about this for hours and I’m having a hard time letting it go.

Today while I was walking to my car after work I walked past a van with the windows rolled down and a girl leaning out the back seat window. There was an adult woman in the drivers seat. They were parked. As I passed them the girl yelled “You’re so FAT” at me and I had JUST enough sense to not even turn my head to look at her. It was so embarrassing. She was probably 10 or so, old enough to know how to use “fat” as an insult.

I think the worst part was that the adult did nothing. The windows were down, she could have called out to me and made the girl apologize, or apologize on her behalf. Like….I’d just had a grueling day at work. Excited to go home. Enjoying the beautiful weather and walk to my car. And then a mean little girl decided to be a bully. Why? And why does it bother me so much? I cried the whole drive home and then sat in my car and cried for a while longer so I wouldn’t have to go inside and tell my mom why I was crying.

What did she get out of insulting a stranger? I just don’t understand it.
