Grey Knights Are Struggling… Is Take & Hold the Answer?

Grey Knights Are Struggling… Is Take & Hold the Answer?

The first ever Warpbane Weekly is live!

Grey Knights finished this week at around a 44% win rate, which isn’t exactly brilliant 😂 but the results underneath that number are much more interesting.

Both Grey Knights players who finished X 1 this week were using Take & Hold, despite running completely different detachment setups.

In the first episode I go through the latest Grey Knights tournament results, win rates, disposition performance, standout results and the main trend I’m watching going into next week.

The plan is to do this every Thursday and build up a proper picture of how Grey Knights are performing rather than reacting to one tournament or one good list.

I’d genuinely love feedback on the first episode as this is a completely new format for the channel.

Are you starting to come around to Take & Hold or are you sticking with something else? 👀

We do not always lose Grey Knights games because the dice failed.🎲

Sometimes it is the unit we Gate without replacing, the kill we chase instead of scoring or the Dreadknight we expose before the trade is worth it.⚔️

My latest video breaks down 7 Grey Knights Mistakes That Are Costing You Gamesand, more importantly, the practical fix for each one.

Grey Knights have incredible movement, but they are not forgiving. The goal is to make simpler, repeatable decisions that still work when the opponent responds or the dice refuse to cooperate.

Which mistake catches you most often? 👀

🔥 Can Grey Knights ACTUALLY win with Take and Hold?

Since the changes to Warpbane, I’ve seen loads of different opinions on Take and Hold. Some people are giving it a proper go, while others want absolutely nothing to do with it 😂

So I decided to really dig into it.

In the new video I go through every Take and Hold mission, how Warpbane and Hallowed Conclave can approach it, which units I think suit the game plan, why those little 4 man Terminator squads could be brilliant for OC, and how we can use things like Gate of Infinity and Hidden without accidentally hurting our own scoring.

The more I looked at it, the more I started to think there might actually be a lot more here for Grey Knights than I first expected 👀

I really want to hear what everyone else is finding on the table too. Are you enjoying Take and Hold so far, struggling with it, or avoiding it completely? And if you are playing it, are you going Warpbane or Hallowed Conclave?

My Grand Master Voldus is finally finished!

Really pleased with how he turned out, especially the red and gold details. What do you think, ready for the tabletop, or is there anything you’d add? 👀

🔥 Purge isn’t dead… but Grey Knights have to work a lot harder for it now!

The new video is live, and this one is a full deep dive into whether Purge the Foe can still win now that Brotherhood Strike is our only way to access it.

We’re covering all five mission matchups, the units that actually suit the game plan, the biggest traps to avoid, and a full example army structure you could build around.

Can Purge still compete, or has the latest update pushed Grey Knights towards a completely different way of playing? 👀

Are you sticking with Purge, or have you already moved on?
