M23- ongoing urethra symptom, starting PFPT soon

Hi all,

I wanted to give a brief update of my experience and see if anyone has advice.

I originally started feeling my symptom (which is, this feeling of leaking/tingling/dripping at the tip of my penis) about 2 months ago, towards the end of April. I did urine culture tests and Sti panel tests, tested for everything which all came back negative.

I saw a urologist for the first time about a month ago, he did a uroswab test with my urine sample, again all came back negative. He then scheduled a cystoscopy, which I then canceled, I am going to reschedule at some point but I wanted to do pelvic floor physical therapy first.

About 2 weeks ago, I got put on CEPHALEXIN antibiotics for a week, for a separate “skin infection”, which I believe was just a pimple that I squeezed at too much and got inflated.

Anyways, the CEPHALEXIN, I believe help make my symptoms go away. I think it definitely reduced the “inflammation” in my tip of penis urethra.

After I was off of it, my symptoms weren’t at “full force” as much, but now about a week after, it feels like it is back in full throttle.

I’m going crazy now because I finally thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. But now I don’t know what to do.

Also, I have opened the tip of my penis to look inside my urethra. It looks normal colored, but there is some redness about a centimeter inside of it, which I don’t know if that is normal or not.

I am wondering if that information can lead anyone reading this to maybe understand more of my symptom and ongoing issue. I also have pelvic floor physical therapy starting in a few weeks

Thank you in advance!

23M Update- flairs coming and going? Antibiotic kinda helped?

23M- urologist did nothing, now ordered a cystoscopy

Hi all,

A little background, I’m having this one symptom that I can’t seem to shake. That symptom being this “leaking/dripping/tingling” feeling at the tip of my urethra. I originally started feeling this about 6 weeks ago. I only feel it mostly when I’m sitting/laying and when I’m not occupied (bored or driving). There’s no physical changes to the outside of my penis. No discharge either. My pee is still normal and no actual pain, just this discomfort feeling like there’s still some pee left at the tip of my urethra.

I did multiple full urine tests both for culture and for stis. My urine is clean. I also did 2 blood tests. Both clean, no sti’s.

I went to my urologist for the first time and I explained to him my symptom and he did another urine test for mgen and ureaplasma, both also negative.

He wants to do a cystoscopy now but I just don’t know what is wrong with me at this point.

Just the other day I kinda opened my urethra a little and I saw some redness but looked fairly normal.

Any advice or anyone dealing with something similar?

Non Bacterial Urethritis? Need help identifying “diagnosis”

Hi all, I’ll try to keep this brief.

I’m 23M,

For the past 6 weeks or so, I’ve experienced 1 lingering symptom and I don’t know what caused it. That symptom is essentially a feeling of “dripping/leaking/tingling” on the tip of my penis. I usually only feel it when I’m sitting/laying and when I’m not occupied with something (in the car, bored at work, laying in bed sometimes). But never really feel it when I’m active and moving around. I don’t feel any pain when peeing, and there’s no discharge coming from my urethra, and no physical change to my penis.

When this started, I got very bad anxiety and was catastrophizing worst case scenario (some type of STD). I am sexually active, and about 2 weeks before my symptom started, had a new female partner (it was a regretful experience).

So, I did what my overthinking self would do, get a bunch of sti tests. I have done multiple urine and blood tests for I think every sti possible. Everything came back negative. I even did a uroswab test with my urologist for mgen and ureaplasma, both were negative as well.

So I think I’m 100% clean from any infection or bacteria.

Now my issue is I just don’t know what is causing this symptom. I am scheduled for a cystoscopy in a few weeks, but I’m nervous for it and think it could do more harm than good.

Anyways, I was just looking for some guidance and support/suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Urination Urgency only when sitting? M-23

Hi all,

This is my second post in this subreddit. I want to follow up because initially I was still waiting on some sti test results. After multiple both urine and blood tests, they all came back negative.

However, I still have this “tingle/leaking” feeling from the tip of my urethra. It feels like my penis head “needs to go pee” but my actual bladder doesn’t.

This is my only symptom and I have no physical appearance change to my penis.

Also, there are 2 main tendencies I notice with this symptom.

  1. I don’t feel it when I first wake up. It usually takes an hour or so for it to “kick in”.

  2. I barely feel it when I’m standing/ moving. I would say 95-100% of this urination urgency goes away entirely when I’m up and moving, or distracted.

I’ve had a few people tell me this could all be psychological and try to relax and not think about it. I’ve been doing that but I catch myself feeling this urgency/tingle when I’m either sitting in the car, at home, or at work.

I want to see if anyone else has this experience and if there’s any steps to be taken to help improve this feeling. Thanks in advance!

M23- tingling/leaking/dripping feeling on the underside tip of penis (only symptom)? Need help.

I’ll try to keep this brief.

Hi all, looking for help on what is wrong with me. About a month ago, i had a sexual interaction with a random girl. We didn’t have sex because i wanted a condom but she did rub my penis near her vagina. A week later, I started to feel the tingle/leaking/dripping feeling on the tip of my penis. Sometimes my underwear feels wet but when I check there is nothing there.

I have be really paranoid and don’t know what it could be. I have been tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hiv1 and 2, syphilis, hep B, and trichomonas. All resulted negative. I don’t know if the sexual interaction actually caused this issue or not. I also was drinking a lot of water (over a gallon a day) for a month or so leading up to this issue and was peeing very frequently, at least once an hour.

I have no other physical symptoms and no discharge, just this weird feeling of leaking from just the tip of my penis.

I have an appointment with a urologist in about 2 weeks but just trying to not go crazy in the meantime… does anyone else deal with something like this?
