How would you recreate this sound?

I like this glitchy sound when you select an area then slowly select more until it comes up to tempo of the song. I could just record this directly into edison then edit it to fit the tempo of the song but I was curious if someone could think of a more elegant solution.

How would you recreate this sound as a usable sample?

Also if I recorded it with edison is there a way to ensure it ends in the tempo of my song (IE the kick is repeating in 172 bpm if that is my song tempo)?

Ants fail at planning

Ants come in through my front door but the food items they carry are too big for the gap they came in.

Work through a music book together?

I am a piano player (27M) and just started working through some jazz improv and classical music theory books this year. I was working on some exercises today and thought "damn this would be way better to learn these exercises together with someone." Learning in a group setting is always more fun for me. Plus, if we learned all the same books we would be totally in sync when we jam!

Doesn't matter what instrument you play although these books are of course tailored to piano. I'm happy to go through any book though even if it's not for piano. We could even go through separate studies then share the different things we learned.

My living room has all my music equipment and has space for whatever you want to bring. My stuff is also portable. I live in Puyallup near the mall.
