I am tired of being frugal, guys

Checking catalogues every week

Checking aisles where essentials are not listed in catalogues

Planning checklist for black friday or whatever big sale events

... how do you make it easier?

Are hand wash and body wash worth the extra for premium?

I have been buying Australia-made ones for a long time, but then I realise they are over three times the prices of basic home brands!

Shampoo and conditioners I'm probably not willing to risk, but soaps are soaps... right? Unless it is skin irritation otherwise aren't we just paying for the smell?

How to make yoghurt without special equipment?

Kids are eating way too much yoghurt and I'm trying to save some expense on it. Luckily they are eating plain ones I don't need to worry about sugar.

I have looked up basic methods but I don't have yoghurt maker, thermos, or termometer. Honestly there are too much information around the topic it's getting confusing.

I have a very old slow cooker, the ceramic probably hold some heat. Also a cast aluminium pot from Aldi - from experience they hold heat quite well but I don't by how much.

I would like to avoid investing too much in equipment and keep failing.

How should I approach this?

Cheapest way to bring an old laptop back to life

the SSD has bad sector and corrupted everything, but it's an old refurb that I don't want to spent too much (or any) on to bring it back to life as a backup server.

Apart from waiting for bargain prices of SSD, which is almost impossible these days, what else can I consider?

Healthy snack that doesn't break the bank

After a long day I just want something to munch, that is not chips.

Any suggestion?

(thanks for the nuts and fruits suggestions. I know they are popular but frankly one handful probably costs you more than a bag of chips now. If there are places for cheaper nuts please share)

(and those who suggested cheese, really?)

I found some for older patches but surely there has to be a spreadsheet instead of scrolling through every one of them?

I have some excel experience so if anyone can explain data dump I'm happy to help.

I have tried all her paths and have found them quiet clunky, in the sense that I almost have to chose which path AND which stance I want to use it in.

How do you compose a team with duellist?

(Instructice seems most generally useful with the extra action skill - I knew that already. Thank you for not reading the post if you are repeating that.)

(As well as using guard or just completely ignore defence and spam fleche, which is too obvious to mention.)

eg:

  • in a dance team they complain about position being moved

  • after crit'ing an enemy, sometimes even just attack and they don't have any fear qiurk

  • when healing status effect and they aren't affected, different from healing a higher HP one first

  • 100 flame negative banter when relationships are all over 16/20 and no negative relationship quirk

Tired of seeing double healer team popping up over and over again with the usual suspects like MAA CRU LEP FLG VES OCU

(those who still mention these - thanks for showing your inability to read)

Nothing against playing safe but it is just a fucking game. I find it more fun to play without heal for the rush.

Because it hits ridiculously hard right now. I was not expecting the stable rank bonus to work both ways.

From initial testing, if another unit moves it out of its stable rank, and another unit (or itself) moves it back in the same round - it benefits from both raw dmg and burn bonuses.

Meaning skills like searing strike hits very hard, especially considering the burn bonus applies twice. Base dmg exceeds 10 and the burn could easily go over 20.

I don't understand this.

To utilise its full potential it desperately needs more skills to be available at the first rank.

Also theme wise, if it is a "front rank brawler" shouldn't it have more access to skills at front rank?

At the moment, it works better as a static second rank support instead of a "brawler that focuses on riposte". To setup riposte it either moves to first rank or take aim which does not give any defence token, especially when you have trinkets that gives defence token when moving but not the other way around.

Not to mention it reduces its rank flexibility.

I could make it work, but it just feels clunkier than the other two paths.

So far I have tried one version of cause of death, berserker's howling end, and an attempt to use backdraft. All without success.

I wonder if there are working examples which consistently pull off with the damage output.

I find DoT focused damage lacklustre in general - yes they might be good on enemies with multiple actions but that's just trading off all other battles for one specific type. I'm keen to know people use them without spending significant amount of time sustaining.
