Let's share theories!

The only intention of this post is interaction and fun. Making that very clear to avoid misunderstandings 🍃

Please share your craziest theory about the series with me.

I would like to read two types of theories: those that are crazy but very well backed up by clues left in the series, and also those that have no basis at all and are just copium or, even, that are based on the books but don't make sense in the series right now.

Do we have a chance to get QotD season next year?

I'm a bit worried about how much time we will have to wait for the next season. I could mention the fact that time is passing and vampires should not get old, but tbh I'm just excited to the next season. It's possible that the release happens in 2027 in your opinion?

Who is this?

This is a frame from the opening. My first thought was the guy that Daniel killed in an alley, but it wasn't in Oregon? Or it was and I just forgot?

Merrick ritual seems suspicious to me

She uses cornstarch in the preparation of the ritual, and I found out that's something very common in voudou. But when the camera gets closer, in the areas away from the center of the circle where it breaks, the powder is thick, there are even some small stones, and it doesn't move even after a strong wind. Coincidentally, the circle breaks between Louis and Lestat, something that caught my attention because she was the one who asked them to stay away from each other. I don't think the circle is nonsense, she's very strict about them keeping their feet outside the circle.

I also found the way Lestat met her strange. From what I've seen in interviews, the book club that Lestat was in was supposed to be shown and he would discuss IWTV with the people from that club. I don't think he was lying, but it's as convenient as Regina showing up exactly where Louis is.

What do you guys think about all of this?

Louis's development in the next seasons

I would like to know your opinion about which directions the series will probably take regarding Louis. This season of the series added a lot of layers to him that, as far as I know (I haven't read the books), Louis originally doesn't have (which makes me ecstatic, because I absolutely love him).

In my view, at least for now, there was a closure regarding Claudia, but the Merrick ritual seemed extremely suspicious to me (I should make a post about that later today) and I believe the Louis from the series isn't just going to revolve around that loss. The scene with Armand seems to have been made to draw one more point about him: he managed to affect, hurt and manipulate a 500-year-old extremely powerful vampire. I personally never saw their relationship through that lens, because Armand messed with his memories and messed with his head, but Armand feels that he did. So I'm going from the assumption that Louis is able to play that game with vampires much older than him.

Besides that, he appears floating and we didn't get any explanation for that. I always found it strange that the library in his house in Dubai is suspended, but I don't think he revealed the cloud gift to Armand.

I think David Talbot's plotline should be Louis's in the next seasons, since before we thought it would be Daniel's, but now they are on opposite sides. You guys, especially those who have read the books, can you identify the storyline of any other character in this construction of Louis?

Would Louis...?

>!Would Louis betray Lestat?!<

It just doesn't make sense in my head, because after episode 6, Armand doesn't have many things against Lestat that could turn Louis away from him, I can't imagine anything worse than that, considering that Louis still believes that Lestat was behind the Trial. But my doubt came up for two reasons:

Jacob's comment saying that Louis's last line in the season affected him physically, psychologically and emotionally.

The lyrics of Butterscotch Bitch, which seem to be about Louis.

What do you guys think about this?

About Louis development and Regina

reposting because I've posted under the wrong flair

Correct me if I'm wrong. In the books, Louis's suicide attempt in San Francisco post-interview doesn't happen — he tries to kill himself after the events involving Merrick.

I'm seeing a lot of theories about Regina's role in the season and I honestly think this suicide + Merrick plot doesn't fit our Louis. Having him attempt suicide because of Claudia again would be going full circle with the character, since he's already thought about it before (season one) and actively tried it in the past. I feel like pushing him into this storyline would make it seem like he doesn't really evolve, doesn't change, and can't move on.

What do you all think? What kind of development do you see in this Louis-Regina dynamic?

Which original saga plots can still happen or be adapted?

Hii! I started watching the IWTV series a few weeks ago and I'm simply obsessed with the adaptation. I'm loving how they changed some plots, especially Louis's, to give him more development and relevance in the main story. So my questions are specifically for readers of the original saga!

What plots do you think could be adapted for the series, considering that >!Talbot is dead?!<

What narrative line do you think Louis will follow? I haven't read the books, but I don't see him fitting into the context of Merrick's creation. It seems like a story going in circles, a grieving process that never ends (I don't see the series' Louis like that so far).

And the Talamasca? Is there any other organization or event that fulfills the role it's currently playing in the series?

Armand is also a big question mark for me, since it seems like the entire Devil's Minion timeline has been altered.

With Lestat I feel like he's still following the original events and chronology a bit more, but maybe that's just my impression.

Send all the opinions and corrections on my assumptions that you can. I'll love reading every theory you have!
