I love the way wild fenestraria look but have always read that this is a great way to kill them in captivity. The worst part is that i ran out of good pots so had to put this in plastic which is going to make keeping the base of the plant dry even harder. I washed the hell out of the roots to remove all organic matter and buring the thing in that 1mm granite sand up to the windows. Been fine for two weeks no with no change.
Very curious to see how this turns out! Anyone have experience with buried fenestraria?
Fulleri and hallii! So perfect
People really out here clamoring for more Gino after all these years? It's been jarring in "Take Care..." to have a bunch of people improving with OJ and then every time Gino gets the mic it's "sopressat, gooning" then back to the improv.
Ive had this cutting for 3 years now, brought to me by a friend from hawaii. I'm looking forward to a first bloom! Maybe it will offset the pseudolithos...
So beautiful!
It's got lobes! Seems to have multiple meristems, with an aborted leaf on top of the large lobe, and a tiny root on the left side. It is also not very woody compared to my other seedling (pic 2) which has a more expected shape but is already starting its first vine!
Anyone with experience think this will maintain a unique shape or will it fill out as it gets bigger?
