Touch of pink 💕

Mini lava rock as top dressing. Pumice and akadama 85%, organic 15%. Stones are marble chip from the front yard lol. Saucer actually goes under my big ol cactus bowl, but it's like $4 at IKEA if you want one.

If you copy the top dressing, JUST BUY POROUS. No heavy, weighty stones. I've used lava rock for years with no issue. 🤘😜🤘

These will be adapted then further sun stressed once this heat wave passes. I want them lil toes PINKITY PINK 🩷🩷🩷

Tiger jaws, baby toes, royal flush pleoplopipiooisisss. Sorry I can't spell them there latin words🌷😋

My tiny monster Buttercup sporting some asymmetrical growth

My Faucaria Tuberculosa - I named her Buttercup - is showing the most beautiful, strange growth pattern.

Her monster turtle jaw in May has become the new set of large outer leaves with several new jaws forming while her meristem is definitely doing odd things. She'll most likely develop into a LovelyClump eventually but right now, mid transition, she's just a complete little monster.

Identification help

G'day, I was wondering if anyone could help me with identification, I got it with no Label!

It's a quick grower! With aggressive roots and makes a thick base/rhizome like growth quite quickly

Closest I have been able to find would be cheridiopsis denticulata, the main thing that's throwing me off is the multiple flowers per "stalk"

Also it's aggressive growth in both summer and winter seems unlike what I have heard

It absolutely loves water, I water it approximately every 2-4 days weather permitting up to a week, but if the soil drys out fully the leaves shrivel and shrink,

I have managed to turn a tiny single headed clump into maybe a dozen small colonies

Could this split rock be forming twins..?

This split rock arrived to me on June 10th lookin a bit rough, but there was an itty bitty nub emerging.

About a week or so ago I replaced the nursery soil in it's 2" pot with a mostly inorganic substrate mixture of gravel, perlite, and some coco coir, and put it back in. I placed it in a northwest-facing window, where it gets lots of afternoon sun; I'm in Texas, so it's getting pretty hot outside, but I keep my apartment at 75 degrees.

A few days ago I noticed the little nub had grown and the outer leaves had actually split - the nub looks a little odd from what I've seen new sets of leaves look like and a few redditors seemed to think it could be pushing out a flower. Now, here we are today and there are two little nubs emerging - the older one still has an odd cleft, while the newer one looks fairly pristine.

I haven't watered it at all since it arrived, but the substrate mix I potted it in had a bit of moisture from the expanded coco coir.

I am a complete newbie when it comes to mesembs. I bought a small multi-pack of 8 different kinds to give them a try and all have been doing well so far, my baby toes are even flowering, but this split rock is definitely the most unique of the bunch in terms of growth... SO, I came here to see what y'all think :) I don't believe this is stacking, could it be that twins are emerging? Or do you think it's got a flower and a new set of leaves growing? Help a girl out!

The cross worked. C. turrigerum seedlings at 18 months

~18 month old Conophytum turrigerum seedlings from a cross between a rugose-bodied parent × a red-keeled parent. Really loving how they're coming out — that glaucous blue-white body with bold dark red lines is exactly what I was going for! 🌱

Edit: correction — 21 months, not 18! I can't count apparently 😂

What’s the condition of this succulent?

Does it look healthy? Is that pruning normal?
