and most importantly, why? I don’t know much about any of the candidates, and I dont have kids. I’d love to hear from parents and educators who is promising for the school board, and of course from everyone about the library board.
prefacing this by saying I believe Shannan’s death was accidental and that Pak didn’t have anything to do with it. but he is such a weird character and I don’t understand how he ended up where he did. How does a guy with two college degrees, who has worked multiple white-collar jobs, end up as a driver for escorts? How did he get involved in the human trafficking stuff in Sri Lanka and what exactly was his role? And it’s so weird to me that he gave up looking for Shannan after a couple of minutes, like she didn’t really matter to him, but then made the trek out to LI multiple times to help find her.
Comfortable on every apparatus (to the extent that is possible), high difficulty, beautiful execution, reasonable artistry…who do you think of as the complete package?
I mostly get sparrows, the occasional Northern Cardinal, some starlings, and lately, a couple of mourning doves. Goldfinches when the echinacea goes to seed. My yard is pretty bird-friendly as far as I can tell - lots of native plants, berry bushes of all kinds, a bunch of trees, two bird baths, and a bunch of birdhouses. Is there anything I could/should be doing to attract more diverse species?
I still work from home most days, but the pandemic days of showing up to zoom calls in hoodies etc. are clearly over. i feel like I need recommendations for a comfortable (knit ?) blazer that I can throw on when presenting to execs or maybe some tops I can wear on repeat. I have broad shoulders and a short neck to v Nack is always a plus, and I try to stay away from black/white/grey because they’re so unflattering for me.
I’m looking to update my kitchen, but not to the point of needing a kitchen studio (layout will stay the same and I’ll be keeping the cabinets). looking for rec on who to hire and who to stay away from as a contractor as I don’t want to individually coordinate everything from a new backsplash to installing a new dishwasher:)
At one point it was going to be a distillery (and the neighbors were up in arms about it). there used to be a food truck in the gravel lot but it’s been a while with that too. Anyone know who owns the building and if they have any plans for it? I get that the ground is likely contaminated but this seems like too good of a location to just have an empty building in it.
