Inflicting ailments without relying on inflict rate up?

I have a question, obviously.

Usually with an ailment inflicting build I would go with inflict rate up and salt in wound, naturally, but... Is there a why to make a reliable built without it?

Using inflict rate up and salt in wound takes up two slots making them non-elemental and thus costing me eventual elemental bingos related to my monsties elemental type. It's kind of annoying.

Of course debilitating lilt would be an option but for an elemental bingo it kind of only makes sense on a water type monstie.

How much of an influence are the ailment inflict rates of skills itself really?

I haven't found a solution myself yet but maybe you did?

Leech Dragon Build, which Dragon to choose?

Hello there ~

I have a question. I am planning to make a Dark Lord leech build though without using Malzeno which leads me to one question... Which dragon type monstie would be the best choice in your opinion?

The general genes I do want to have in the build are Dark Lord, naturally, as well as Night Parasites and Dragon Eater, Self-Heal and Stamina Surge. All other genes are rather flexible since they would probably depend on the chosen monstie's stats.

As mentioned I don't want to use Malzeno just because... I don't know. I already have a wyvernfell heavy Arkveld though of course having two of them wouldn't be an issue but also not really diversive.

So, back to my question... Which monstie would you choose? And if you're willing to share, what are your builds with Dark Lord?

Look at this and guess who it's designed to shred (hopefully)

Either it's pretty obvious or it isn't. Anyways, the update already annoys me because having to fight a specific monster to get a piece of paper to forge armor+ is, well, annoying and somehow not fun at all.

So, after having levelled my current roster to lvl99 (14 monsties by the way) and now having to make yet another Specialized build sucks.

And you may have already guessed it, but I plan to use this one against Royal Invasive Arzuros. Hopefully with success. My companion is intended to be Kora with Gravy. My current loadout is the Rath Soul Armor with Self-Heal and Heroic Testament, the Wyvernblade Maple with Counterboost XL and a Mastery decoration.

Thoughts? Critics? Suggestions? What tacticts did or would you use?

In other words, yes, I need your help. 😅

Honest and maybe unpopular opinion to Rudy's Side Story

After playing the Rudy's Side Story DCL today eventhough people have been ranting like shit about it, I have to say... I liked it. It's been endearing, it's been fun and it had the typical dose of secondhand embarassement when Navirou is showing up.

Of course there have been some minor issue and one major, the minor one actually being that the Nergigante fight was laughable easy and the major one... Well... Was it just me or did Navirou have a different voice actor? On top of not sounding like himself, he kinda also didn't really act like I remember him. Probably because they wanted to keep the general more grown up tone of the game but seriously, that's not Navirou.

People complained about the decorations, honestly? They're quite cool I think, especially the razewing decoration if you pair it with a nargacuga weapon and the rath soul armor and crit-heal.

All in all, here you have an opinion that isn't ranting and still criticizes while also mentioning something good.

By the way, the game is released since march, we have june, three to four months to get an DLC are awesome and quite early I think and who knows, there might be a lot in the future, the keyword is patience, lol.

Astalos build, decision difficulties

I am gene farming at the moment for my final monstie builds though it appears that some aren't as final as I thought...

I can't quite decide which one to choose, the free bingo build is the new idea while the other build is the one I initially wanted to go with. I am getting tired of farming genes, felt like a lifetime getting all stamina surge genes alone (needed it five times, it's been a lot of paintballs on poor Zinogre), so I would really appreciate any help.

Which one would you choose?

I need some help to choose a monstie

I have come up with this build and I want a tanky monstie for it but I can't quite decide which to choose...

Options would be Barroth, Jade Barroth, Namielle or Gravios...

I deliberately chose attacks which are quite low in stamina cost and having a tanky monstie spares me from needing skills to boost health, defense or applying any self healing mechanics, at least that's the idea.

What do you think would be the right choice? Or do you have a completely different monstie in mind for this build?

Parapoison Dodo, viable or not?

I have been tinkering with the monsterbuddy app lately and that's what I came up with.

It's either good or my brain totally messed up.

Thoughts? Critics?

What to do?

I am working on a dual type build for Odogaron giving it the thunder element which is also supposed to be it's new main attack element.

The current build is:

  • Adamant Rage (Egg Skill)
  • Bolt Eater (T) (Khezu)
  • Thunderbug Strike (S) (Zinogre)
  • Thunderbug Blitz (P) (T. Zinogre)
  • Critical XL
  • Critical Kinship XL
  • Inflict Rate Up XL
  • Salt in Wound XL

I was thinking about doing this build eventually instead:

  • Critical XL
  • Critical Kinship XL
  • Thunderbug Strike (S) (Zinogre)
  • Thunder Attack Boost XL
  • Crit-Heal XL
  • Adamant Rage (Buff) (Egg Skill)
  • Thunder Smash (T) (Astalos)
  • Thunderbug Blitz (P) (Thunderlord Zinogre)
  • Thundercall (N, all enemies) (Thunderlord Zinogre)

What would you do? Any suggestions which to take or to further optimize? Help would be appreciated.

Also, Odogaron is Protective/Attack, has Defense and Stamina Recovery +3 via excursion and the excursion skills Resonance +, Best Buds + and Unscathed (unawakened).

The issue with monstie choices

Having played MHS1 and MHS2 I wanted a new monstie experience in my second runthrough of MHS3 restricting myself to only new monsties which was kind of okay though why is the available roster of technical monsties that limited? Especially if you also don't want to use Elder Dragons?

I build my team with the forced upon Ratha (seriously, if I could I would swap it for Espinas), Almudron (chosen to be a spare for my beloved Mizutsune eventhough the one is power and the other technical), Magnamalo, Arkveld, Rey Dau and with those elements covered my choice of a technical ice monstie with satisfying stats has been nearly Impossible since I refused to choose Aurora Somnacanth because I don't like the Design and also the stats which left me choosing Barioth but only because I never used it in 1 and 2.

What monsties would have Chosen for a completely new monstie time without using returners?

Finally and never again!

The built of desperation against Ibushi and Narwa feat Ogden, the Lunagaron armor with Tenacity and Heroics Testament L decoration, Veldian Ensis (Counter Boost and Absolute Evasion) and a ton of goddamn luck. Longest fight of my life... Over fifty turns, what the hell. Never again.

I know many used a Fruity Frenzy built and I actually wonder how anyone ever managed to beat those two *censored* without it. I only survived because of evasion, riding and the lunge stance.

Feel free to share my desperation or an additional built that makes the whole ordeal less of a prayer session, lol.
