Mask for Pico to transfer emotions and mimics to VR and XT
Hello I'm Ildar from PiEEG. We’ve been developing an open biosignal hardware mask (EEG, EMG, EOG) that mounts onto VR headsets to process real-time facial expressions, emotional response data, and muscle movement.
Originally, we designed this with Meta Quest and VRChat in mind to drive social avatars. However, after talking to several Pico users and academic researchers, we noticed a major shift: researchers and developers want to use this tech with Pico headsets for cognitive studies, human-computer interaction (HCI), and emotion recognition.
We’re trying to understand how to best tailor the integration specifically for the Pico ecosystem and would love to get your input:
We're hosting a technical breakdown on signal cleaning and real-time streaming logic soon for anyone interested in the raw engineering side.
Happy to answer any technical questions about the sensor placement, raw data processing, or hardware integration in the comments!
