Want to supercharge my xr6 FG, i have heard bad things about the 5 speed but have had a responce from the raptor team saying a 5 speed is okay with 8-10 psi.. thoughts?
Only thing I am worried about is the 5 speed. Im aiming for 8-10psi 260-300kw. I got the fg for a bargain, 2010 200,000km $3700, the only downside is its 5 speed but I dont want to do a zf6 conversion due to the headache that it is.. otherwise id just save for a ve/vf ss when im off the p's
Should I supercharge my fg xr6 5 speed for 6k aud + Tuning costs going from 195 to 305ish kw or should I not bother
I can buy a 2009 ve ss for 20k, or a 2013 vf ss for 30k. Is it worth 10k if so why? I am 21 and insurance for 3rd party fire and theft is around the same for both at $75.
Just got off p's and currently driving a XR6 FG I found for a very good price a year ago and thought I wanted a XR6T but realise I would never hit 3k rpm much in the city to use it. Dont get me wrong its a great car and I love the mystic blue color it has but I previously wanted a 206 skoda superb stage 1 or a VF ss but for around 20k I believe this deal seems best, and could double in price in a decade if it stays under 100km. Insurance wise Id be going with 3rd party fire and theft.
