Jameel Jamali Ji seems to be continuing his excellent work

While UN is worried about some rioters getting legally detained briefly in India, they seem completely unconcerned about the Civil War like situation in Pakistan.
Oh well, sit back, have a fanta or an orange juice or something, and coolly observe.

From Mumbai to lovely Himachal? Have Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam Dhar shifted their base? And if so then is it a good move?

According to the article: " Sources tell us that now the couple shunts between Mandi and Mumbai because one place is home, the other is their work place.

Sometime back Yami was also the Brand Ambassador of HP."

Do you think it would be a good move?
I would cheer it. Telugu industry has already shown that any region in India can make excellent movies. If Aditya Dhar leads to the emergence of Himachal film industry, then that would be lovely.
What do you think?

Awesome pre-visualization (previz) from Bahubali 2

SS Rajamouli gets things right before ever starting the shoot. No wonder his movies are so epic!

10 years of the Surgical strike: Uri. A timeline of events. Do you remember when it happened? What was your response? And 10 year later... How's the Josh?

Today marks 10 years since the night of 28–29 September 2016, when Indian Army Para (Special Forces) teams crossed the LoC and hit militant launch pads, 11 days after the attack on the Uri army base.

I took help of Claude to put together a timeline infographic covering:

  • 18 Sep 2016: Four militants attack the brigade HQ at Uri, killing 19 soldiers
  • 19–27 Sep: Planning in secret while India moves to isolate Pakistan diplomatically
  • 28–29 Sep (night): Para SF, including 4 and 9 Para, strike launch pads across the LoC and return before dawn
  • 29 Sep: The DGMO, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, announces the operation publicly
  • 2018: Footage of the strikes surfaces, and 29 Sep is marked as Parakram Parv

Do you remember when it happened? What was your response? And 10 year later... How's the Josh?

10th anniversary of the 2016 surgical strike - the inspiration behind Uri

On the night of 28–29 September 2016 the Indian Army hit Pakistan's terror launch pads across the LoC, eleven days after the Uri attack that killed 19 soldiers.

Around this time, Aditya Dhar's movie with Karan Johar's studio " Raat Baaki " was withdrawn because Johar was casting a Pakistani actor Fawad Khan as its lead along with Katrina Kaif. Under the widespread protests in India, Karan Johar halted the production.

Rather than being upset, Aditya Dhar, a Kashmiri, was much more interested in the event itself and how India was finally responding to terrorism with a proper strategy. He starts meeting army people on his own expense to learn about this and after 6 months of research locks himself in a room to finish the script within a few days- hardly eating or sleeping.

Gets a minimal budget and shoots at end for 14+ hours per day with a minimal crew while rotating a limited number of stunt people playing both the soldiers and the terrorists.
Two and a half years later Aditya Dhar turned it into his debut feature, which won him the National Award for Best Director.

What a wonderful tribute to the Indian army. Ten years on, which sequence in Uri still holds up best for you, and what does the film get right or wrong about the real operation?

The first film from B62 studios: "Article 370" won Best Feature Film, Best Actress (Yami Gautam) and Best Music Direction – Songs (Shashwat Sachdev) at the 72nd National Film Awards. What will happen with B62's Dhurandhar next year?

From left to right: Shaswat Sachdeva (music), Aditya Suhas Jamble (director), Yami Gautam (lead actor), Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar (Studio B62 producers)

Who do you think will win more national awards next year among these? :)

From ₹2 crore to ₹1,200 crore: 25 years of SS Rajamouli in one spiral

Made this to celebrate 25 years of Jakkanna. 🎬

Every film from Student No. 1 (2001) to Varanasi (2027) sits on a spiral: oldest at the centre, newest on the outer arm.

  • Gold circle = worldwide box office
  • Red core = budget
  • Dashed circle = Varanasi (budget only, releasing 7 April 2027)

More than any single hit, it's this journey that has been amazing! Step-by-step he overcame the odds and took on the world.

One of the very few Hindi movie industry folks who celebrated Operation Sindoor.

Unlike the others who were thanking their God for the ceasefire on Pakistan.
