low gpa success stories?

hi all, i'm an upcoming 4th year majoring in electrical engineering and considering applying to law school to be a patent attorney. as someone with a pure STEM background i barely know anything about the admissions process and want to know if it's possible to get into law school with a low/mediocre gpa.

for reference i have a 3.4, multiple C's, and had to retake a class. i do plan on getting work experience and studying for the LSAT to get at least a 170 to potentially have the chance at getting into a t14, but is that realistic?

if anyone has any success stories or have a engineering background please tell!

the engineering department is ass

current EE and i'm going into my 4th year. if you end up having to retake a class you're basically screwed. most of my classes are only offered in the spring so its like almost impossible to graduate at the rate that i want.

why is it that they can't hire more professors or at least offer more summer class options because this is insane??? i'll have to stack up on all my classes my last year if i even get there bc i won't have any other options if i end up failing.

not to mention the amount of people who cannot graduate bc a class isn't offered in the fall or spring. i lowkey wish i was in civil or mechanical bc they at least have more professors.

driftmier is so fucking tiny as well like damn can we at least have more classrooms why do i have to go across campus to get to my ENGINEERING class.

friend got distant after getting a bf

i have a friend who started dating a guy, and now we barely talk. obv life gets in the way of things and we're both in college but usually when i come back home for the break we'd make plans to hang out. since we go to two different schools we both try to make an effort to at least see each other once every couple months.

i consider her a really close friend of mine even though its a very low effort friendship, but i can't help but notice that after she got a bf i was always the one initiating the hang outs, texts, and checking up on her.

anyway, i invited her to a party and she was a no-show. didn't text or call saying that she wasn't going to come. when i sent the invite she said she would try to make it and that she will have to see her work schedule.

now i understand i may be over-dramatic, but i can't help but think that she just totally forgot. i noticed that when she started to date this guy, our friendship just got distant so fast. its only fair for me to mention that this was her first relationship, and they are probably still in that honeymoon phase.

it just sucks. she's still a great person and a good friend. she even apologized for not checking up on me, but these things always seem to happen. i find a good friend, and something gets in the way. i still love her, i guess i just needed a place to vent and see if anyone else dealt with the same thing?

i just got off the waitlist for 1516 and noticed how the price is so expensive for a double... why is it pretty much the same price as the other ECV dorms when i dont even get my own room? is there a reason? i'd be better off being in the other ECV dorms.

also if you lived in 1516 what was your experience like and do u recommend or am i better off being in a cheaper dorm?
