All day nausea

After many trials of SSRIs and SNRI’s my psychiatrist suggested I try Trintellix for anxiety and a newer diagnosis of depression.
My anxiety presents as nausea but usually passes by lunch.
Since being on Trintellix I have had ALL DAY nausea. Like nothing I have experienced before. The only time it dissipates is when I am getting into bed for the night.

Has anyone else experienced this?

How long until you noticed a change?

I know the answer to this question is “it’s very different for everyone” but I am interested to hear about what other people have experienced.
I have tried a LOT of different medications in the past to treat GAD without any great success.
My psychiatrist has now started me on Vortioxetine as I am beginning to experience depressive symptoms along with the GAD.
2 weeks on 5mg and 2 weeks on 10mg and all I feel is all day long nausea (my main anxiety symptom) and difficulty sleeping.

Career Change Suggestions - With Careers/VET Experience

I have been a VCE VM teacher for 16 years. During that time I have also been worked as a Careers Practitioner in schools and am currently the VET Leader. Just looking for others out here that have similar experience/qualifications who have moved out of the classroom.

I still have a passion for working with young people however am struggling with the load (both physical and mental) of lesson planning/marking/wellbeing/weekend work that comes with being a classroom teacher.

Discontinuation Symptoms - Effexor - reassurance please 🙏

Hi All,

I have had a 20 year+ journey on antidepressants (Citalopram, Sertraline, Bupropion, Effexor). I was always searching for the magic pill to take away my GAD.
Long story short, through a lot of Acceptance work and horrendous night sweats I made the decision to come off Effexor.
I tapered slowly, under the guidance of a psychiatrist, and am now 4 weeks since my last dose. For the first 2 weeks I experienced the expected physical symptoms which have now subsided.

I am now experiencing low mood, overwhelm, constant waking at 4am. It all feels worse in the morning and will usually pass by the afternoon.

I am desperately seeking some reassurance that this will pass. The what I am feeling is withdrawal syndrome and not how I just am unmedicated.

I am starting to move into the “well maybe I do need to be on medication for the rest of my life” mindset 😢
