Jobs for ABCs?

For context, I’m 33F and I’m born and raised in America. I’ve visited Hong Kong maybe 2-3 times when I was younger and the last time I visited was over a decade ago. Unlike my parents, I don’t speak Cantonese, but I understand a little, and my mandarin is just slightly better (I’m most fluent in fujianese/fuzhounese). I’ve got a bachelors in accounting, but I don’t have much real world experience.
The reason for this post is that my parents occasionally joke about moving back to Hong Kong and I’ve joked about moving to a completely different country to find a job there because maybe the work culture will suit me better (if I manage to get a job). Despite having lived in America all my life and work with a lot of Americans, I often feel out of place. However whenever we talk about actually finding a job there, I tell her that it’s impossible because:
• my mandarin/cantonese is basically nonexistent
• I don’t think my bachelors degree is enough
• and my overall education doesn’t compare to the average Chinese person
• pretty sure my age will be an issue
My mom seems to think otherwise, simply because I was born in America. She seems to believe that as a Chinese American that speaks English so well, I’ll somehow be desirable to employers. And even though I was born and raised in America, I’ll be welcomed because I am Chinese by blood. I highly doubt that because it’s an outdated mindset. I’m sure I’ll be too American for them, just like how I’m too Chinese in America. So I’m curious to hear from people who actually live in Hong Kong. And before anyone assumes I’m mad or I think poorly of my people, I’m not and I don’t. I’m still open to the idea of getting a job there and I think it’ll be a good learning experience if I manage to get one.

Edit: thank you to everyone who took the time to read and comment. I’ll be visiting Hong Kong later this year and I’ll keep your comments in mind. I’m hoping to get a better idea of whether it’s feasible for me to work there

So confused

I ordered a pair of shoes, a leather jacket, and an eyebrow pencil from Musinsa, which ships from Korea and I paid the customs fee ahead of time. It finally gets shipped on 5/15-5/16 and after being delayed in TN for about 3 weeks, it finally arrived on 6/3, but only the shoes arrived. I took pictures of the package that was clearly aggressively torn apart and retaped together. I had a support ticket opened before it arrived and included those pictures in the ticket, but it got closed. When I called FedEx, they told me to reach out to the retailer, which I already did and I’m waiting to hear back from them. I’ve placed other orders from Korea to NY since this order and those orders were also shipped via FedEx and they arrived quicker and without any issues so I’m not sure what was wrong with this order. I’m pretty sure someone just took the rest of my stuff because even in the delivered photo, you can see that the size of the package doesn’t fit the dimensions listed on the tracking and under the commodity information, there’s clearly 3 items listed. I’m trying to be patient with the representatives I’ve spoken to because it’s obviously not their fault but I’ve been waiting for this package for about a month already and now stuff is missing

Issue with Musinsa?

I’m not sure what happened, I placed a Musinsa order back in February without any issues, but my recent order seems to be stuck in Tennessee for over a week now. It has cleared customs and the tracking keeps saying it “on the way” but it’s stuck in Memphis, Tennessee. The standard transit date was supposed to be 5/20, so I opened up a support ticket the other day and I’m waiting to hear back. I tried calling FedEx but the call keeps disconnecting whenever I say “something else” so I can’t get to a representative.
Interestingly enough I ordered something from Olive Young around the same time and that was shipped by FedEx too and also held up in Tennessee, but it was just for 2 days and then I got my package a few days later.

Torn between quitting or waiting it out

I’ve been at the same company for almost 8 years and I’m sick of it. I had only planned to stay for 2 years but covid happened and I ended up staying. For the first time 7 years I worked in my company’s tax department (I have a bachelor’s in accounting) but it was more of a call center that dealt with tax exempt information. My mental health deteriorated here because of my toxic manager and supervisor so I transferred out to my company’s sales operations department. To be honest, I lied my way into this position. I claimed to care about improving the customer experience and I happened to know 2 people on the team so I ended up getting the job. I thought it was a doable job and it would allow me to heal. Almost a year into this position, I’m slowly finding that I’m not cut out of this position. There’s a lot of micromanaging, a lot of going above and beyond, and a lot of corporate politics that get in the way of getting things done, and I’m simply too burnout to keep up anymore. My friend recently quit his job in the fashion field since he’s moving out of state and his boss asked him if he would recommend someone and he asked me if I was interested. From what I know about this job, it’s mostly check swatches, sending emails, measuring fabrics, data entry, and attending meetings, which seems doable even for someone who doesn’t have a fashion background. However the job doesn’t pay very well since it’s part time and it doesn’t include any benefits like pto, sick leave, or insurance. Despite this I’m tempted because I haven’t had any luck applying for jobs in the past few years and I’m also no longer interested in accounting. I also don’t know what I am interested in because I’m so tired of working to live. I want to be able to enjoy life like other people do but I’m always having to work and it never seems like the pay matches the work load
